Hi everyone, it's my first post; I finally got my Black Manual XB last night!

Question:
What is everyone's opinion of the cleaning "utensil", the California duster?

Also, while I was researching this car, this forum helped me make alot of decisions about what to get and what not to get and I especially want to thank everyone for your posts/inputs. Hope to return the favor...
Thanks!

Thanks man. Does it leave any parafin wax streaks? If so, what do you do to get around it, or do about it?

I use the Cali duster on my showcar and on my atchback, it works awesome for removing dust without scratchin the paint. I would also recommend the california wiper blade to dry your car quickly, it leave no scratches either. I never get any wax streaks either :)

it great for a quick wipe down a day or two after a wash. don't use it as an alternative to washing though.

good to hear the forum influenced you... it influenced me in a lot of things (coil selection, ect.) california duster is awesome.. just make sure you dont have very much dust on it, or it still can scratch the paint.... as far as the california water blade... ITS AWESOME for the box... since its exactly that - a box - after using the water blade, It takes me 1 towel to finish drying my box...

How does it work for you? Worth the $12? :)

Make sure you leave the Calif Duster out for 48 hours to air dry before you use it. Says on the package that it will streak the heck out of your car if you don't do that.

mayb i'm just using it wrong, but my car was super dusty from the el toro photoshoot, so i used it this morning. i waxed it on friday morning, and now there are scratch and swirl marks all over the car... damn. (the duster is a few years old, so it didnt need to air out or get "dirty" make it work better) i don't think i'll be using it anymore. i guess washing it 1-2 times a week will have to do for me.

It makes it a lot easier to wipe down by using it before toweling it dry.

well i just bought the california water blade but i havent tried it on my car yet. However, i did try it on a wet glass table we have outside just to get the feel for it and it felt kind of abrasive and didnt slide very well. i am also afraid of that little handle slipping out of my hand and scratchin the paint :x but i guess i will just have to try it out on my Xb and see how it works.
