loosing engine oil
So ive been running the suggested oil set up but in synthetic with the stock oil filters. Have been running it till bout 7k to 7.5k and lately (last 3 oil changes) Ive noticed that im somehow burning some up. There is deff no leak anywhere and my exhaust is not sooty. I usually takes me 3-4 months to do this. On the last change i checked my oil frequently and noticed that i was straight till i passed 5k...then i had to add a half a quart...to stay above the min on the dip stick...
is anyone else having a similar problem? im wondering if this is something i should bring to the dealers attention (i think im under extended warranty) but im not sure exactly how to prove this to them since i change my own oil...

That sounds very normal to me. I had a 87 Mustang GT that used 1 qt every 3-5000 miles from new to 50,000 miles and that was normal and expected for that engine. My XB uses about 1/2 qt every 5,000 miles and that's perfectly normal.

I think even in the owners manual it says you may lose some between oil changes, and thats based on the 5k oil change. And running past 5k def is not helping. Try changing it at 5k a few times and see how much you lose, then you would know if you have a problem or not.

I just changed mine today (3k), and I lost almost 1 quart!
I think the valve cover gasket might have a very slight leak on one of the back corners, but it doesn't look significant enough to make it lose that much in 3000 miles.
Oh, and I have 77k on my 09...
