*sigh* its been almost 2 months after i ordered my Black Sand tC

and today~ my dealer calls me up, and says. "oh! the car is being shipped from japan now.. so it should take another 15~20 days to get to the port, then a couple more days after that so the car can get to the dealer"

how can i last another loooong month?!

i picked mine up off the lot. tC's aren't really hot sellers in ohio, but they had what i wanted, so i got it. every dealership around here has a decent selection of scions.

where are you from?

 

i got mine 3 months ago in akron!!! It took almost 4 months after i ordered it!!!

uhmm IMO, I think you just got played. THey probably sold the car to someone else. Got mine in 3-4 weeks. Go get your deposit and get your car from somewhere else. They playing you dude.

 

actually not really. He wants a black sand pearl, and they are less common than other colors the tC is coming in. The reason that that mine took extra long is because i wanted side airbags too.

 

the waiting list in yonkers, ny was like 5 months. i ordered mine around mid october and got it a few days after thanksgiving. you will get it eventually, dont worry.
when i was waiting for it i had to take the bus home in the cold after swimming practice every day.

 

You got to find a dealer that has a connection w/ scion factory. Thats what I did, you can order your car and be available in two weeks or less!

 

The wait list is very dependent on the demand a certain region has for the car. Your wait might not have been long because the dealer in your area only had your order to fill.

When we ordered our tC {automatic trans, Indigo Ink Pearl color, rear spoiler} in mid-Nov the salesman said "two to three months" but "I hope you'll have it in time for X-mas". Well it was three months almost to the day.

When he said two to three months I looked at my wife like she was nuts, but this was the car she wanted and that was IT.

Bottom line was, the car was delivered during the worst part of the NY winter but hey, we still have our other two vehicles so when it's bad out the Scion stays parked
