I want to replace my OEM clutch and am looking at aftermarket ones. I've heard that Spec Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 2+ are good.

I'm using stock power, and have no enhancements other than the AEM cold air intake.

Also, since this is a significant job, who should I have do the work? I'm not capable of doing it myself and taking it to the dealer seems much too expensive. Should I take it to a local mechanic or chain mechanic shop or have a "mobile mechanic" do the work?

Also, about how much should the labor cost? I've gotten estimates from $500 to $1,000.

I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

I just got a price from a really good trans guy here in NJ, and he wants $600 for the labor. I'm providing the clutch and pulling the Cold Air Intake and Carbon-Fiber Strut Brace so they don't get messed up laying around his shop, but he's doing everything else. I read the 6-page removal/installation procedure and decided that $600 is a bargain.
