Default tachometer

hello has any one tried to install an aftermarket tachometer on the xb2? i wanna install one a monster tach with a shift lift. i have installed one on others olders car but not on the newer models. Should i just tap into the wires in the back of the gauge cluster? or should be tapped into the computer? any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance

Don't do it. Not only do you NOT need it, it's ugly and pure rice. Now if had a drag setup, then I'd see your reasoning behind it.

It would probably be easier to tap the tach line behind the cluster since the ECU is under the hood. Don't know which wire it is though so you'll have to test.

the car already has a tach, why do you need a second one?

dont rice your B up. just get a shift light like said before.

according to directechs...

tachometer | grey | ac | located @ datalink connector, white 16 pin plug, pin 9

you should be able to find the wire on the back of your gauges as well
