Ok, I won't keep peeps in suspense any longer.
The wheels are/will be shortly available from Steve, bBist.com. Yes, a NEW item from bBist.com!
The wheels come in 18x7.5 +38, 18x8.5 +35, and 18x9.5 +30, and available w/ silver or gunmetal centers. (I think black will be available in the next few months.)
Yes, some of you may recognize the style/manufacturer, and you will also notice they were not available for fitment for Scions before.
In regards to my wheels, I'm running 18x7.5 up front, and 18x8.5 in back. Tires are 215/35-18 Nitto NeoGens front and rear. Thus the stretch on the rear tires. I was going to run 205/40-18s up front, for the stretch look, but not w/ the CA freeways in my area.
I would like to THANK Steve for letting me to be the first to have these wheels mounted on my xB, and will do my best to promote this wheel and the rest of the bBist.com line for him.
squirrel
03-11-2005, 03:56 PM
In regards to my drop, its TEIN Wagons at their lowest settings. The rear is a bit lower as there are five Buddy Club 17x7.5 wheels mounted w/ tires, loaded in the back. So, its a bit lower than normal. And I have 2 degrees of camber up front, and 3 degrees of camber in back.
Does it scrape the fender? Yes, the right rear scraped on the way home last night, so I guess I better roll it slightly. The driver was fine.
Once again, I would like to THANK Steve!
I never thought I would have my xB looking like it does right now.

hey squirrel. It was nice to meet you at the Tracy meet, and I really liked the all ut style of your bB. If you dont remember who I am dont worry about it, too many people there anyways to remember them all. But try and see if the people that did your interior strut bars would be willing to do one for the tC and ill be open to lending my car for test fittings. I was with Strictly Scions, hope to see you at the next meet.

Aireck,
Yes, my xB has gone thru numerous changes since I submitted it for Featured Ride.
It now has video, bBist black and silver cf double vented hood, bBist black and silver cf Fab style rear spoiler (that was borrowed for use on a SEMA car), camber on all four corners, Progress rear bar, harness bar, bBist C pillar bar, JDM center arm rest, signal mirror covers, dual projector headlights w/ halos, prototype bBist eyelids, catback center exit exhaust, shift light gauges, cf A pillars(interior), bBist prototype cf trunk handle, bB foglights, custom kick panels for the stereo, engine bay lighting, and a few other goodies waiting to be installed in my garage. :relief:
The Parto/Tc Sportline front lip scrapes everywhere. My i730 Nextel barely fits sideways under the front lip and the ground. :nails: I currently have Red Genie sideskirts mounted w/ the front lip, and a modified Patro/Tc Sportlibne rear lip to mount. It just needs to have the exhaust cut out of it.

Brian,
Thanks, and sorry for the delay in replying.
I have had no problems with the 3 degrees of camber in the rear. Its only been on for a few months and handling has improved greatly. I did need to get a four wheel alignment once the rears were installed. I have 2 degrees up front, though it is not as noticable now w/ the 18s on.
I'm running NeoGens so that may help.
Let me know when you're coming thru as my unit was taken off the activation list.

Jay,
Yeah, +18 would be nice, but I need to roll the rear wheel well on the passenger side. Plus I'm already running 3 degrees of camber in the rear!
Emerson says he hates me. Who's going to being hating soon, in a few weeks? He called me today.

I don't know if this question was already answered but how's your ride quality as it is right now for you? I'm interested in buying a full coilover system and i just wanted to know how your system is compared to the blitz wagon or the JIC coilover system. THANKS
squirrel
03-23-2005, 03:31 PM
John, those who have ridden in my xB say its rides the nicest on TEIN coilovers. Ken (NCP31) has Cusco coilovers and Na'im (xB_ey) has HKS coilovers. Both have ridden in the car and say its a bit softer than their's. BUT, they can go at least an inch lower than me.
I haven't ridden in a Blitz or JiC equipped xB so I wouldn't know. I personally stay away from JiC. Its a long story, but I didn't like the way the owner treated another drifter and his car during a competition.
