Suspension help and questions
Hey everyone I'm looking to lower my Tc within the next couple of weeks. I'm working on making the decision between H Techs or S and currently I would love the S tech look but I'm worried about problems with rubbing. I'm on 18x7.5" rims and my tires are 225/40-18. If anyone knows that rubbing will come from an S tech drop Id like to be warned ahead of the purchase and hard work and if this is the case what do others recommend? I live in Southern California so our roads are good and I've seen few potholes and rarely go over bumps.
Also, I apologize if this question has been asked before or if there is a sticky some place answering my questions already. I've searched a ton over the web and I want a more direct answer. Thanks!

search, anyway, s-techs are stupidly low. h techs are better, but it is up to you. rubbing with your tires is one problem you might run into, but the other more important one is ground clearance and approach/departure angles everywhere else.
Sorry but you failed to answer the questions I have presented. I told you I have searched for answers and I've read tons of posts over four different sites. No one gives an answer and that's why I posted here.
That said, I was hoping to find someone that had a similar setup or the same setup. I realize S techs give a low drop and I don't think Hs give me the drop I want. That being said I'm still hoping for answers.

I've checked those links out already....you're still missing my question. Will my rim size+tire size rub with Tein S springs. I've already bought the rims and tires and I've checked out dozens of posts on different brands of springs as well as their drop rates etc etc. All I'm asking is for someone with a similar setup to tell me if they had to alter anything due to rubbing.
Why would reading about aftermarket rims help me with a question I have about suspension and rubbing? How would pictures help me....I could see how they suspension guide would help but I've read the first 7 pages and so far I haven't found anything.
because you can look at pictures of similar sizes and similar drops.
also, instead of creating a new thread you could post your question in both of those threads, im sure more than one person would chime in.

Because there are DISCUSSIONS on those threads also not only pictures. Obviously you didn't read through them seeing this.
You will likely have some sort of rubbing issue no matter what. I'm on 19x8.5" on S Techs and even with my fender liners modified, I rub over certain bumps. Its bound to happen regardless. If your worried about rubbing, don't go low.

One thing the OP has left out is offset. We know it's 18x7.5, and you are going to run 225/40-18, but without an offset it also makes it as difficult to say. Even then, the links posted above will have the answer you seek. Do the search results as posts, and also search within the thread, it'll narrow things down.
Same question that has been asked in the above listed "Discussion" Threads. Can't find the answer? Google has never failed me.
I think everybody could help you as best as they could, just bite down and get what you really want, if it fails, sell it and replace it with option B.
