Default how does the scion feel

for long drives, local, etc?

im thinking about getting the TRD package. with the shocks and the springs, 18's. its going to be a _____ for local driving, but hoping to keep the steelies for that. and when summer rolls around thrown on the 18's.

but how does it feel on the road with 108 hp? my crx felt fine. it was soo peppy, i didnt even feel like it had 106hp.

hows the handling? lots of body roll? does it feel nimble?

i took one for a testdrive, but it was downtown so not much room to get it upto speed or take hard turns.

for people with the TRD package, how do you like it? the dealer said i can come testdrive one with TRD on monday

I didn't get the TRD package, but I did get the TRD 18's... Still quite a bit of snow here and I have the 18's on, after having them on, I just couldn't go back to the stock wheels ;)... I drove it over 250 miles from West Virginia (where my dealer was located) to Indiana (where I live) and it was a very comfortable trip...

On the power aspect, I think it is very quick for having only 108 hp... I know that it's alot quicker than a 96' honda civic (a car I owned for about 2 years)... Slower than my last car, an RSX, but it had 140hp and was ubah fast.. hehe.. The xB definately has enough power for me.. It does feel very nimble.. Very manuverable... And unlike my honda civic, it doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart while going 90 mph.

Default let her go

It feels great the body roll is mild on pretty hard turns, unless your not driving, I often find myself fine and everyone else in the car is flopping around.
It's peppy and I have an auto, and it's still fine...
I'd suggest you take another test drive, and let her go once or twice...

You'll feel almost every crack, bump on the road Gonna have to get used to it especially, I just came off from an '01 Camry (very soft ride). You may want to test drive the Box on some not so suspension friendly streets.

But it feels very stable. I'm not into cornering hard, but for it's height, it does very well. Feels like a regular car on corners but you sit higher.

Speed wise? Well, it only has 108 at the flywheel. But from 0-40mph, it is very peppy. It has a lower gear ratio like most trucks have.

im test drivinb again tomorrow. im so indecisive about what i want. i really like the camoflouge color. but i know the rs 1.0 is a value package.

but i was hoping if i get teh camoflouge i can use the 900 towards the TRD package and the rims. i guess ill have more details tomorrow.

i window shopped some more today considering all the dealers were closed, there is one manual transmission around, but it not the color of choice.

Naw, do not get the TRD springs and shocks because they will make your ride real stiff. You will feel everything on the road and it will not be the greatest thing for long trips. It will definitely improve the way you take corners and such but not for everyday driving like you want.

If you want a smooth ride just get some 2" lowering springs like goldine or tanabe's and if you want a real smooth ride, don't upgrade to a large 18/19" wheel. You'll have a real comfortable ride without the TRD package

the dealer i am working with right now has a scion with the TRD package on it, and said i can come test drive it and see for my self the difference. personally im a fan of the stiff ride and better handling. thats just what i was used to in my crx. i want to drive something that feels solid and feels like its on rails as opposed to something that feels floppy
