I ordered my FM tC on feb 21. Since then I have been contacted by the dealership twice to tell me they have a FM on the lot but no ground effects. Should I keep waiting or just get it without the kit?

View Full Version : factory ground effects...are they worth the wait brogdon420 03-13-2005, 12:39 AM I ordered my FM tC on feb 21. EMU 03-13-2005, 01:20 AM bBist will be coming out with a Carbon Fiber lip kit identical to the factory lip kit soon if its something your interested in. Kev_the_rev 03-13-2005, 02:35 AM you can always buy it later... and have it put on too.. ScionDad 03-13-2005, 02:51 AM I think it's a must have, but like the others have said....add it later. unseen 03-13-2005, 02:53 AM bBist will be coming out with a Carbon Fiber lip kit identical to the factory lip kit soon if its something your interested in. will it cost as much as the factory kit? more or less? tCtuNeR216 03-13-2005, 04:47 AM ^most likely more since its carbon fiber but imo its well worth the wait, I have the kit and love it Fixtion 03-13-2005, 04:52 AM The kit is clean, and the carbon fiber will look even better. Order the kit from scion, and buy the carbon kit later. Swap them out for shows and daily driving :P OEM equipment is always worth more than aftermarket. KYBoy 03-13-2005, 05:00 AM carbon fiber lip kit will run about 800.00 plus you will not need it painted so you will save some money there. i would say if it FM which you want and it has the tranny you want then get it and add on a kit later. PunkInDrublic 03-13-2005, 05:31 AM Hmm, how would a carbon fiber lip kit look on an SSM... f1nch 03-13-2005, 05:37 AM i think it would look damn good especially with a CF hood and some gunmetal rims :eyebrow: TurboMe 03-13-2005, 05:43 AM Hmm, how would a carbon fiber lip kit look on an SSM... I think the color contrasts isn't that good w/ SSM. PunkInDrublic 03-13-2005, 05:50 AM I'm even wary about a CF hood... was thinking of going silver CF. KYBoy 03-13-2005, 06:22 AM i dunno about SSM but that lip kit would look very nice on my IIP maybe someone could do a photoshop to give you a better idea of what it would look like r26 03-13-2005, 07:25 AM "I think the color contrasts isn't that good w/ SSM." I have a ssm and agree with you r26 03-13-2005, 07:25 AM "I think the color contrasts isn't that good w/ SSM." Black rims (chrome lip optional), CF hood, CF skirt kit, etc. brownbanana 03-13-2005, 12:12 PM cf works on any color, just gotta work it in the theme..dont just slap on any ol part brownbanana 03-13-2005, 12:13 PM bBist will be coming out with a Carbon Fiber lip kit identical to the factory lip kit soon if its something your interested in. will it cost as much as the factory kit? more or less? the post said that it would be less than the OEM one Mediocre_Generica 03-13-2005, 12:54 PM i dunno about SSM but that lip kit would look very nice on my IIP maybe someone could do a photoshop to give you a better idea of what it would look like Yea I'm trying to imagine it but I don't want my car to look ricey with a bunch of raw CF tacked on to it. verditsgerman 03-14-2005, 03:47 AM I hate CF. I think it looks ugly and way too ricey. To each his own I guess. anyways, when i financed my tC, I financed a couple grand worth of accessories with it, even though they werent on the car yet. they ordered the parts and had them put on a few days later, and a couple weeks later for a couple parts. KYBoy 03-14-2005, 03:57 AM CF lip kit is not ricey if done right. the only thing that matters is if you like it. the best thing to do is to wait to see what the kit is going to look like, then decide Mediocre_Generica 03-14-2005, 10:23 AM CF lip kit is not ricey if done right. the only thing that matters is if you like it. the best thing to do is to wait to see what the kit is going to look like, then decide I dunno, every ricer in the world drools over carbon fiber, and while I'm pretty sure it will look ok on the white cars, I'll wait until someone else does it to a blue one. EMU 03-14-2005, 07:37 PM we have a carbon fiber hood and trunk right now for your blue one^^^^^^^^^^^^its carbon fiber and blue carbon kevlar look nice on your ride |
