Default Shifting issues. Please reply

Well, as of lately my car has had some trouble shifting into 3rd. I do not beat my car very hard. It is virtually stock just a few bolt ons. I have a stock shifter. Anywho, I have to muscle into 3rd gear a little bit under normal driving conditions. There is no grinding or big problems it just takes maybe 15% more effort to get into gear. Could this be something as little as shifter bushings? The car has 87k miles on it. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Shifter bushings wouldn't cause that issue. I'm leaning towards the Syncro's in the tranny might be giving. Still have a warranty?

Tranny was replaced 3ish years ago from a private shop. I bought a 3 year plan so I will have them test drive it I guess. I was hoping it would not be serious but I am definately not paying 1500 dollars again. Thanks for the help.

same problem here but probably not the syncro but a problem with the fork.

Obvious solution?

Have you tried changing to aftermarket fluids?

I used ENEOS and it made a world of difference.

this is a common issue with the tc. it has to do with the synchros. i have some difficulty shifting into 3rd under normal driving and sometimes itll grind when i downshift into 2nd. the reason is cuz the synchros arent lined up correctly so it take a lil extra force to get it into gear. there really is no way around it. u can try the eneos trans fluid and see if it helps other than that, id say u just have to deal with it.
