xmetalx 03-13-2005, 08:07 PM i think alot of people wish someone would make a TB for our xb's
dgHotLava 03-13-2005, 08:14 PM no plans to make any....
you need to retro fit one from another car...
DarkBoxJr 03-15-2005, 04:02 AM High performance throttle body, eh? How do you expect this to work?
It would definetly be a performance enhancer since I have already done the following modifications...D C Headers AEM Cold Air Intake and MagnaFlow Cat Back Exhaust. It should assist in pushing more air into the intake
dgHotLava 03-16-2005, 10:42 AM TB and a new intake manifold....

So, is it a larger diameter bore? That's only going to work if you have larger diameter intake plumbing.
dgHotLava 03-18-2005, 07:53 PM thats what i say
TB and intake manifold
hotbox05 03-18-2005, 08:07 PM thats what i say
TB and intake manifoldas well as intake piping and rewiring the ecu for the afm to accept larger diameter piping.
dgHotLava 03-18-2005, 10:48 PM so long as you dont change the pipe size at the MAF your fine...
and the pipe size at the MAF is bigger than the TB anyways..
DGTLLVR 03-25-2005, 03:24 AM How much would you be willing to spend on a new intake and throtle body? I was thinking about having one fabricated, but if there is enough interest I could have a couple made and it would drop the price. Please PM me if you're interested and let me know what you think a reasonable price is.
I'd be more than willing to have dyno runs done and posted if there really is a market for it.
underESTIMATED 03-25-2005, 03:38 AM current mods are DC Headers,
How many DC Headers are you running? :lalala: :lalala: :lalala:
Derk-xB 03-25-2005, 03:47 AM Anyone "optimize" their TB yet? I did it on my old car .
Just remove one of the sandwich plates, grind down the other (so it's flat instead of rounded) on the TB plate and counter-sink the screws. It was dyno'd at 2whp (on a 180whp engine).
It may not be worth many hp on our cars, but it only costs time. :)
