Default Squirrel Finder Mod

I have been looking for a diy on how to bent the squirrel finders on a 2010 xb, so the HIDs doesn't produce so much glare. I have read that you must disassemble almost your whole headlight.

Does anyone have pics of the squirrel finder in the xb projector? If it's in the front, I am thinking to stick a 90 degree pick in the headlight hole, and it can be bent that way. If it's in the rear (towards the engine) I would be able to bend it with a pocket screwdriver from the headlight hole. I tried to feel around with my finger but I guess it wasn't long enough. I didn't feel anything in there.

i think you first method is how it's done, just stick something in there, find the right spot and push it in.

Ok so this may be a stupid question, but what exactly is a "squirrel finder"?

It finds squirrels.

It's actually a part that's in the projector itself. The projector consists of the rear bowl, lens, lens holder, cut-off shield, and of course screws. The cut-off shield performs as the name implies, cuts off the light. The squirrel finder is a piece of metal that's rivetted, perpendicularly, to the cut-off shield. It acts to help reflect some light up past the cut-off point.
