Valve cover: paint or polish?
Hey guys, I finally found a new valve cover for my XB and need to decide what to do with it. Should I polish it or powder coat it? If powder coat, what color? Here is what I'm working with:

Polish would be cool.
I'm planning on powder coating mine a pretty crazy green, then getting the Password JDM carbon coil-pack cover. I'd have to get tC coils, but no big deal!

Thanks guys. I was planning on polishing it but powder coating would be easier and less maintenance. Purple makes sense given the BOV and WG but I'm already regretting the purple. I'm probably going to replace the BOV and WG with a different color. I think the coupler blue is too light for the VC but maybe the darker blue of the vacuum block on the firewall?
Red and black would look good but replacing all those couplers and hoses would cost well over $100. What about silver or black wrinkle powder coat?
BTW, if I did polish it, what's a good sealant to protect it? Can wax handle the heat?

That looks cool but too radical for conservative me. I've narrowed my choices down to the following:
1) Polished
2) Dark blue
3) Black (maybe wrinkle)
4) TRD red (maybe wrinkle)
Oh hell, on a whim I decided to polish it first. I started tonight by grinding/sanding off all the casting ridges. This way it will look great even with a glossy finish. I also found some cool new ideas in a TC powder coating thread. I'm thinking about having the VC and all my pipes coated with mirror black. It looks just like black chrome and matches my titanium mirror wheels. What think you?
