Default Need some help in Issaquah

Hey guys! I'm looking for some help installing a fuel pump in a 98' Dodge Stratus... Tyler and I could probably do it, but would definitely feel more comfortable if someone that has experience with dropping a tank and installing a fuel pump would help, or even do the work, I will pay.

I know that the tank needs to be dropped to install it, its effing HUGE (the pump), The tank location on this car is in front of the rear axle, and the pump location is in the driver side rear of the tank. We double checked that there was no easier way to do this, but there isn't, sadly the tank will need to be dropped, the other issue is this car is sitting in a gravel shoulder across from the owners house, it doesn't run so we would need to do the work there, Tyler and I have already jacked the car up once before to do a fuel filter install (started with cheapest parts and worked up) so we know the ground there is strong enough to support the vehicle, I have an easy-up tent for use if its raining, and I will be in attendance of the install to help out wherever possible.

I'm currently unemployed so any time any day works for me

hop this works out for you...if you want added support underneath the jack stands get some steel plates or even some 2X4's.

you will do much better and have an easier time if you siphon the tank first...you wouldn't believe how heavy and awkward a tank full of gas can be to maneuver because of how wide the tank is....

disconnect the battery before you even attempt this and make sure that all the lines that attach to the tank are plugged with something and disconnected from the tank completely. thn you will need to look for the straps that hold the tank up.. if you drained the gas the tank will be fairly light and easy to get out of place.

im guessing it will be maneuverable out of the way of the rear suspension.

hope this helps
