suby2scion 03-14-2005, 07:54 AM Looks nice. What make? How much? And how did you get the VVT-i to stay on your grill?
It looks good on white but probably would'nt be so noticable on FM...
coppermine18 03-14-2005, 08:00 AM It's the racing solutions hood. I think it was like ... 380ish shipped? I don't remember. The VVT-i emblem is an authentic Toyota part and had a foamy adhesive material that stuck and never looked back!
iNFEktEd 03-14-2005, 08:20 AM now get a cf trunk and your tC will look super tyte!
buckeye23 03-14-2005, 10:29 AM now get a cf trunk and your tC will look super tyte!
The cf hood is enough, IMO. Looks good.
LucidBD 03-14-2005, 01:15 PM glad i ordered a SW tc! thats HAWT! and please take my advice as well.
leave the CF hatch at the dealers...the car look tite without it. honestly i took the CF hatch into consideration with the CF hood and its just too much rice. thats my opinion but its a lil over kill.
niksmr2 03-14-2005, 10:30 PM Very nice. I've been debating whether or not to get the cf hood for a while now. It looks so hot on SW tCs.
mikochu 03-14-2005, 10:41 PM I think the OEM lip kit looks great on the Super White tC... The CF hood looks good too :P
Swanny 03-14-2005, 11:13 PM Looks awesome, keep up the good work!
kutsuju_dj 03-14-2005, 11:50 PM damn the racing solutions hood is the tightest that ive seen... is it light... is the webbing good on the cfr.... i really like that hood and i got a white tc too.... how long did it take for you to receive it.....
miller3624 03-15-2005, 12:13 AM yea i just got my cf hood today from racing solution. It is going on my SSM tC. it weighed 15 pounds including shipping materials so it was i think 12. i can't wait to put it on tomorrow
TurboMe 03-15-2005, 12:13 AM looks good! I like your CF hood's reflection but maybe thats because you get a better camera. :D
coppermine18 03-15-2005, 12:55 AM The hood looks great. My 7.1MP canon does a good job too, you should see the full res images heh.
I have more plans. Ya never know what might happen though!
niksmr2 03-15-2005, 01:03 AM Are you planning on heading west for any meets? I'd like to see the cf hood in person sometime.
coppermine18 03-15-2005, 01:29 AM I plan on bringing it up there often. I'll post when I travel up there. I know the frist week of April I will be spending a week up there on business.
TurboMe 03-15-2005, 01:41 AM Yeah Canon makes great cameras, I have a Rebel 2000. I took some amazing pic for my photo class. :D
rolstc 03-15-2005, 01:44 AM honestly , i hate carbon fiber. Very rarely i say this when it comes to Black Fiber ... LOOKS HAWT MAN !!!
hahaitzskippy 03-15-2005, 05:41 AM looking hella good.
i luv the look with teh ground effects... i wish i had the ground effects... sigh
Kev_the_rev 03-15-2005, 05:59 AM cf hood looks clean!!! im liking it.. yeah you should definitely look into coming to a meet sometime your in the seattle area!!
coppermine18 03-15-2005, 11:30 AM If enough people wanna see it I'll take a day or two to head up there. I work on my own schedule for the first time in my life owning my own company.
If anyone wants me up there PM me or lemme know in the thread if I get 10+ people wanting to check it out I'll head up for a lil rally action get some food and check out the rides.
niksmr2 03-15-2005, 03:44 PM Well there seems to be a lot of meets and such coming up in the next few months. You should head over sometime.
What are your future plans for the car?
coppermine18 03-15-2005, 04:50 PM Well, I like the stock wheels, but I am wanting to go with a slightly darker wheel with a larger offset to even out the sides. Front/Rear anti sway, strut tower brace, slotted rotors and larger calipers, full coilovers, axleback and header, remove badging. Interior not too mucn, maybe some new seats, in-dash dvd etc.
Down the road, turbo for sure.
yamaha16bw 03-15-2005, 05:46 PM Does this Hood come with the windshield sprayers holes already drilled? I heard that some brands dont come predrilled.
Looks great!!!
coppermine18 03-16-2005, 12:42 AM Yep, they were pre drilled!!! That was a bonus.
itimebomb 03-16-2005, 03:54 PM i love that on white cars. looks awesome!

Nice list of future mods there!
Your car will probably look a lot like mine when we're both done :P
coppermine18 03-16-2005, 06:09 PM Yeah, if I build up the internals and turbo it... It'll be a mini Supra :P
http://www.coppermine18.com/tc/photos/minisupra.jpg
since we're talking about CF hoods.. do you guys think it'll be ok to put on on a BSP?? I mean, unless you look really closely, I don't think a lot of people will notice the difference

coppermine18 03-17-2005, 11:54 AM Soon I'll post a pic with the Twin Turbo Supra, the tC and the Integra *white with black CF hood and GReddy Turbo* lol Shoot, maybe we'll mob all 3 cars into seattle as well. The Integra is getting rebuilt with forged internals etc so it can run 20-22lb of boost.

Now you HAVE to come to one of the NW meets! :P
Those cars aren't all yours, are they?
Kev_the_rev 03-17-2005, 04:32 PM Yeah, if I build up the internals and turbo it... It'll be a mini Supra :P
http://www.coppermine18.com/tc/photos/minisupra.jpg
hahaha thats a great shot right there!!
yeah, Nikki's right.. theres a lot of meets and shows coming up over here! Check out the Northwest area forums. Looks like you got a great outlook for the tC. I've been looking into coilovers too.. The same one as nikki's!! Tien basics are hot for $750! I was reading up the other day about the 4 axis tC and how they used front rotors and put and extra set on the back so that it would fill up the space back there better than now and put some huge trd calipers on there!! man it was hot!
coppermine18 03-17-2005, 08:17 PM The tC is mine, the Supra is Nan's and the Integra is Dustins... Just a few cars in our crew here.
niksmr2 03-18-2005, 01:16 AM Hey I've got mad love for Integras....and of course Supras (who doesn't...)......bring 'em all over!
And Kev's right...the Basics are hot! :P
RacingSolution 03-18-2005, 04:22 AM Looks hot! Glad you like it! Thanks again.
IsItSnowing 03-18-2005, 05:44 AM got to be a big weight savings if it only weighed 12 lbs. I would paint it, but that is just me. Swimming upstream.
xtremc5 03-18-2005, 08:09 AM looks great
VIP_tC 03-18-2005, 06:03 PM One of these days Ill have to get a hood like that, lol.
coppermine18 03-19-2005, 12:21 AM Hopefully I will be posting a pic with more goodies soon!
yamaha16bw 03-19-2005, 02:39 AM could you post a pic of your hood from the engine bay? Like under it.
coppermine18 03-19-2005, 08:45 AM I will take one in the daylight for you tomorrow.
Rageous 03-19-2005, 11:45 AM Clean and very effective, looks great man. Definitely find a time to come out here and show it off. :)
yamaha16bw 03-20-2005, 02:00 AM I will take one in the daylight for you tomorrow.
Thanks man!!!
OHfkenKAY 03-20-2005, 03:26 AM are hoodpins required in washington for you coppermine?
its illegal to have any aftermarket hood without hoodpins in california :(
i hate the way hood pins look, it just ruins the glory of cf hoods,
but i guess its safer that way.
but yeah, very nice looking hood on an SW.
coppermine18 03-20-2005, 04:33 AM We don't have to have hood pins here.... It rained today though!!!! aaghh... I might still go take a picture but it's all wet and crawppy outside. I had it all washed up too.
PunkInDrublic 03-20-2005, 04:44 AM Where do you look up laws about aftermarket parts, such as the law about hoodpins on your CF hood.
niksmr2 03-21-2005, 06:04 PM Wow, you guys get rain over there? :P
I'd be nervous driving long distances on the highway with no hood pins. I hate the way they look though....
coppermine18 03-22-2005, 04:25 AM Yeah I have had to wash my car the last 3 days in a row.

are the lines on the hood even for both sides?
-Keith- 03-22-2005, 03:09 PM Where do you look up laws about aftermarket parts, such as the law about hoodpins on your CF hood.
there is no laws... it is just recommended that you use hood pins incase the latch gives....
suby2scion 03-22-2005, 03:14 PM What's nice is the roof of the tC is black (glass)...not so noticable on some colors, but it matches the hood really nicely on lighter colors!
yamaha16bw 03-22-2005, 08:18 PM ^^^^ I agree. I'm not too sure it would look good on my IIP. I havent seen a pic yet of one on my color and i wont buy one till i know what it will look like.

They are close. There is a bit of a gap... but it's not highly noticeable unless you stand over it obviously.
coppermine18 03-25-2005, 01:16 PM A couple more photos, I changed the signal bulb... I still haven't got the under the hood pics yet. I'm working on it. I just busted my Canon S70 this morning while trying to take the photos. Go me.

I didn't use any special bulb just picked up the replacement @ napa. Also those are just silver screws on the front bumper. They don't look bad but I am gonna order plugs from bumperplugs.com.
