Default tC Final Pricing

I got the approval from my cedit union and headed over to the dealership to get the exact numbers for the car. It's going to be completely stock. I'll buy floor mats off eBay if I have to.

Anyway, it went as follows:

Car: $16,515
Dealer document fee: $499 (THIS IS CRAP)
Sales Tax: $1,046.23
Tag/Title Fee: $285.50
TOTAL: $18,345.73

But I have to pay a $500 deposit for them to locate and secure the vehicle. If I take possession, it will be applied towards the down payment. I plan on putting $2000 total down.

Amount of puchase price financed: $16,345.73

Except for the dealer fee, I guess it isn't that bad. The other dealers in my area were selling them for $17,500 stock before their fee.

What do you think?

That is a pretty high dealer doc fee. You should check a couple of more dealers. I think mine was only around 200.

hey digi_inf, i assume by you being in "O-Town" that it means you're in orlando. well, i've brought this up a few weeks ago regarding the "dealer fees". yes, you do have to pay them, and i'm assuming by your amount of $499, you are going to courtesy scion. stick with them because *all* the other orlando dealerhships are $100-$200 more.

but yeah, your pricing sounds right on. stupid dealer fees...

I got a set of factory tC floor mats for $71.50 off Ebay, brand new in package. Normally I'd just get some generic ones for $20 or so but I was stumped for Christmas gifts for my wife {her car}. They're nice mats though. The salesman was actually happy that I got them off Ebay instead of him, considering how much they get for a set.

well, i've brought this up a few weeks ago regarding the "dealer fees". yes, you do have to pay them,

Negative...they absolutely can be taken off. You just need to smooth over the right manager, or find the right dealer

also, i don't think you included the delivery fee in your approximation. the delivery fee is $585 for florida. your total before taxes, etc should be $17,884 i believe.

Okay...Some dealers may drop the doc fee if you complain enough, but this is not always the case. In the Atlanta area, you will NOT get a tC without doc fee in my experience. Someone prove me wrong.

Just a FYI i just recently put a $200 deposit on my car (5 speed) which includes 18inch rims = $1,000 Billet grill $275 and Ped. Spoiler = $425 and my taxes about the same and tag = $200.00 and mine was $19,600 out the door!! I had no Doc fees..AKA BS Fees because supposedly Hollywood, FL is the only Freestanding Scion Dealership (still havent confirmed but it is the best) , Therefore no dealership fees from Toyota!!! But i did try another Toyota dealership just to see if i could get it faster elsewhere and they wanted to tack on a $700 doc fee laughed so hard the guy thought i was retarded...i was like and told him it was BS and went striaght back to Hollywood Scion! They guys there are great to work with too....no crummy car sales people....They have a flat plasma screen tv in there with xbox hooked up with 4 computers off to the side to play or go on internet....they're playing straight hip-up over the speakers.....it was like the soulpane of dealerships....no lie!!! I that place now and i think i got a pretty good deal...just sucks waiting but hey it should be in 5 more days !!!

Anyone been to a nice place like that and Did i get a good deal????

I had 143$ fee at O'Brian in champaign, Il. Not that bad! Service from Rick was perfect, that guy is doing all he can to help you and is in touch with you all the time! Really good!! They also have a giant screen with satelite TV, but dont have PS2 or other console!! I should suggest it to him!!! I would be there all the time for nothing lol!!

Later all

Doc fees are for expenses like registration, tags, title, and other state fees. Since the dealer charge you a separate "tag/title" fees, the extra $499 doc is purely dealer profit! Do you wanna spent $499 to get a full exhuast upgrade or hand it over to the dealer? Tell them they either take it off or the deal is off. Don't be afraid to stand up to them There are many more honest dealers who deserve your business. Here in Cali the doc fee is less than $100 (can't remember the exact amount off my head). Try getting a quote from the internet, you get a much more honest price.

I'm glad here in Texas the dealer document fee is limited by law to $50 or less.

45 in cali and I'd suggest hitting up that Hollywood Scion, even if you have to drive there and it takes a few hours. You'll be happy you saved the green.
