If you want to make this thread about your car, that's cool. Otherwise I'm going to lock it because there's no need for another thread with random pics. There's one on page 2 already, plus all the color threads.
Enzie 03-25-2011, 07:40 PM Wow dude, where'd you get that hood? I have a silver tc2 aswell and was wondering Joe a CF hood would look. And it is awesome!
tCTRICE10 03-25-2011, 08:34 PM @Enzie From Fastscion.com
goose_119 03-25-2011, 09:16 PM are those aftermarket headers or did you just remove the plate?
1stOne 03-25-2011, 09:19 PM ^Just removed the plate.
Carbon hood is from Seibon. They did a silent launch of it. Fit is...'ok'.
Love the car. Looking good!
Enzie 03-25-2011, 09:26 PM That's a good idea with the plate... And darn, the CF hood cost so much D:...
WellesleyScion 03-25-2011, 09:57 PM What kind of intake is that?
@Jon, just rename the thread "tcTRICE10 Build"
1stOne 03-25-2011, 10:07 PM Fujita I believe.
tCTRICE10 03-25-2011, 11:33 PM The intake Is fujita.
biglilsteve 03-25-2011, 11:56 PM So I'm going to confess that I thought you had the Descendant turbo when I first glanced at the headers. Trying to pull the ol' wool over the eyes eh?? It's a nice touch.
tCTRICE10 03-26-2011, 12:14 AM @biglilsteve haha I wish I had the descendant turbo.
Enzie 03-26-2011, 12:45 AM On your hood, the scoop on the back, is it a functional scoop? Or is it just silver there? I can't really tell
tCTRICE10 03-26-2011, 03:40 AM Its actually vented fully functional as well
MightyP 03-26-2011, 03:49 AM Now we're talking. A functional hood scoop with an SRI... Sexy...
Yako_Tech 03-26-2011, 05:20 AM look sick i like
johndeo11 03-26-2011, 05:43 AM and the rims were painted too... i've been thinking of doin that... mmmm
tCTRICE10 03-26-2011, 07:24 AM and the rims were painted too... i've been thinking of doin that... mmmm

biglilsteve 03-27-2011, 08:27 PM Now we're talking. A functional hood scoop with an SRI... Sexy...
Could a mod like this lead to the same potential issue as the CAI...water getting into the intake if it's raining?
Enzie 03-28-2011, 12:16 AM ^ I was actually wondering the same thing..
MightyP 03-28-2011, 12:25 AM ^ Good question. It would really depend on how everything is designed.
From what I understand of Papa Bear's assessment (remember, I've never seen the CAI or SRI), the CAI filter would get wet enough water would pool inside the filter, causing the problems. Being higher up from the ground, the SRI shouldn't get as wet and the water shield should help.
But without seeing the whole set-up (and doing some real-world tests), it's all a guess.
Enzie 03-28-2011, 06:25 PM Would the Hood scoop have any effect on the SRI regarding water?
WellesleyScion 03-28-2011, 06:49 PM Guys, Rain may or may not play a role in the intake sucking up water, but what about the rain getting on metal parts under the hood and forming rust... It will happen...
biglilsteve 03-28-2011, 06:59 PM Just seems like it's not worth the risk. We dont really see much performance gain from this with the risk of getting water in the engine...
Enzie 03-28-2011, 07:02 PM Thats what it's starting to look like. I figured it would help since 100 degrees F in the summer isnt uncommon, but it rains A LOT, too.
