I'm sure I'm not the only xB owner who misses having an armrest... Is there any sort of aftermarket option to add one for the driver, or perhaps a middle console that could also double as an armrest?

(Please accept my apologies as a newbie to the site if this has been discussed before, or if this is in the wrong place. I only found this site a week ago as I was researching the xB, and am now a proud owner.)

Zeta Products Armrest <---------i love this one east to install no need to mod anything. good looking its the one i choose to have.....

:nails: word of cotion i have heard bad things about the new boomerang one. this is just from what i have read.. it has something to do with the rubber it starts turning choky if not allredy that why when u get it. just my $.02 not knocking any ones products here.

I have the Zeta armrest too and like the fact that you can swing it up and out of the way if need be.

I have the Boomerang and I am pleased with it. The chalky white goes away with a quick swipe of vinyl protectant

:eyebrow: coo coo but i'v seen the instal its only 1 screw right how srtong is that?? zeta has the 2 steel batters with the 2 or 4 screws to hold it up right it is realy strong IMO how about yours???

True, you can fix the chalky problem with some Armor-All. No problem. Or Boomerang also sells a leather armrest too. It's the same as the org one but with a leather top. Here's mine I love! Lot's of space and it looks and fits factory.

My Boomerang armrest is very solid and strong. I've had no problems with mine at all. That "one" screw replaces the screw that holds the console in. It screws into the bottom metal floor pan. Plus it's also supported by 2 console stabilizers at the bottom.

I have leather top AND i needed to me higher then standard and they DID just what i asked for :-)
only one screw but no drilling in to console and it stands strong.

I have the new second generation Zeta.
It has a storage compartment, its height adjustable, its easy to install ( no drilling or modification) and its strong.
I have heard that the Boomerang will warp your center console if you actually lean on your armrest (which I do).

Yeah that's very true. I've never used my rear cup holder or even needed the armrest to fold-up. Plus I have an auto too. Different mods for different people I guess. :clap:

i like the boomarang one, i like all the storage, and i think it looks nicer

Not at all.

i got a 5spd, and it was hard to shift but im used to it, the only thing that gets me is the E-brake. you have to get at it at an angle.

but i got the boomerang not the zeta

i tried a few...but liked the JJ one the best...

material matched the interior, didn't look like an after thought...
very sturdy and you don't loose functionality if you move the seat forward...

Not at all. It surrounds the seat rail, does not inhibit seat travel at all.

someone at work gave me the boomerang armrest and id have to say im glad i did not buy this product. im not likeing
those cheesy console sabilzers so getto imo ive installed it cuz it was free but when my storage zeta shows up il be ditching the boomerang and if the zeta is a p.o.s too il send it back for a refund

thats just my opinion on that product im very picky when it comes to aftermarket stuff it has to look natural i dont think the zeta will disapoint ether thanks for the info

I like my Zeta, and talk about sturdy! My daughter came with me to the Tracy meet and played inside the Box most of the time. She was practically standing on it. I just love how a center armrest just makes the car seem more balanced, even tho I lean to the door side more often.
