that turbonator kicks ___ i had one before, i got atleast 50hp to the wheels, throw on a Type R sticker and you have effectivly doubled the horsepower of your box.

xmetalx
03-14-2005, 08:36 PM
yup, electric supercharger +50 horsepower and Type R sticker +50 horsepower= ~195~ HP to the wheels!

what about a electric centrifugal supercharger??? it will do the same as a reg supercharger without as much boost pressure.......

Screw that. Save your money and buy 3 or 4 stickers. You could have a 10 second car in less than $50 if you get the right ones.

i dunno guys, i don't think the type r stickers are compatible with scions...i suggest you go with trd stickers. or you can put type r and trd stickers side by side.

^^^ nooo~ you know you can't put them together. The power balance will be all wrong and you'll lose horsepower with the two stickers!

You got to stick with one brand. After that, you should get some nitrogen filled tires along with the high performance chips on ebay. oh oh, don't forget the WD-40 purge valve and premium octane fuel.

With a setup like that, you'll be running in the low 9s easy.

You forgot the "Earth" magnets on the Fuel supply lines, 4 prong spark plugs, and a Bi-level wing thats another 50 HP there, you could break into the 8's then.

After some in depth research, I have discovered this.

Placement of sticker is much more important than brand. True, some brands are not compatible, but if you place them properly, they will still work. Take for instance, the Type R and TRD stickers. Clearly, every one knows that if you put them on side by side, you will have TRDTypeR, which will cause an extreme loss in horse power. I decided to reverse this to TypeRTRD and notice a nice increase in HP. I haven't had this dyno'd yet, but I'm 100% sure I've increased by 30%. Also, make sure that you have an even balance of stickers. If you have an Injen vinyl on 1 side, make sure you evenly place another Injen vinyl on the opposite side. Not doing this could cause your car to roll at a hi speed.

I hope this helps. Peace, and drive safe with your super fast hot rods!!

But be careful....... putting more than 10 Type R stickers may require to change you stock internals...( mmmmm maybe some low compresion pistons could help) ......otherwise you may blow your engine...... so you will only be able to run 8's like 2 or 3 times before you ruin your engine......

I wonder if there is a Type R controller from apexi..... :P

I'm a dealer, so I get the best information about sticker HP. This takes a bit of DIY know-how but the power increase is incredible.

Take one TRD sticker and one Type-R Sticker, cut the TRD sticker into 3 separate letters, then cut the type-R sticker into this: "T ype R" then take the T from TRD put in the "ype-R" and add the TRD's "D" at the end to make this:

TypeRD

The power increase that you get is amazing! The power comes from the Japanese underground street racers who combine Honda and Toyota stickers to create powerful hybrid monster cars! So this mod is obviously totally JDM! I was thinking about selling these stickers, so if ur interested, PM me, I'm thinking about $199.99 for this massive power increase :silly:

Balance is key here guys. If you have a CF fuel Door sticker, you must put another one on the opposite side. Yes, I know, there's no fuel door there, but trust me. This will fix your problem.

I just got off the phone with the guys over at Power Enterprises. Unfortunately, the bumper of the xB has been moved off-center by 12mm in order to facilitate better mileage, etc. This means that if you are going to put these stickers on you will need to have a custom bumper fabricated first. The stock bumper can only handle like 5 or 6 psi of boost before shattering! PE will be selling forged bumpers for $2,200 (front and rear). Production will start shortly.

A cheaper fix would be to use a 12 oz. weight under a DC Sports sticker directly in the center of the bumper. This will allow the bumper to handle at least 8 to 9 psi before it even begins to weaken. Remember. We are going for affordable here.

this is hilarious...not to break things up.. but isn't this basically the exact same thing as that Tornado crap they sell in stores? the literature reads exactly the same, except apprently this one can be installed in aftermarket intakes.

At first i though this was a fan too.. then i read it said "non-moving"

taej
03-19-2005, 09:32 AM
That looks pretty much like the tornado fuel saver......good idea but not functional its supposed to get better mixture of air but since its before the throttle body it wont do good cuz the butterfly on the TB will undo the flow.....But ive seen a similar product like that where its supposed to give better mixture its called a throttle body spacer friend tried it out got improvements and cool pshh sound.

ROBUPNYA
03-20-2005, 07:43 PM
i use a throttle body spacer on my 5.9l dodge durango, and it does help if you have aftermarket intake and exhaust. i've heard that these spacers don't really do anything on a four banger though.....don't know if that's is true....
