hey-
I'm planning on having the front windows tinted to match the factory tint. Seems like I'm the last person to get this done as it seems pretty much every other xb I see on the streets has tint all the way around. Anybody know about how much this should run, and any good tint places on the west side of town (I'm practically in Avondale).
Any help is always appreciated.

don't know any to reccomend in your area - look to pay anywhere from $40-$70 for the two.
the Scion's have a double window gasket - so you need to get the tint below both for long term gaurantee against peeling. - to do so, the door panels need to come off - which is only a few screws and it pops right off.
also - not REQUIRED but is a nice finish - you may find a shop or two that can/will shave (file) the exposed edges - which is the top only in your case - of the glass/film. That way there is no visible start-stop line of the tint, it will look like the back windows basically... the tint will go all the way to the very edge making it look like it's not actually a film on the glass

Windowtint: I'm looking into having my windows re-tinted (I think the tint shop put 15% on my windows and it's a bit dark for my taste). Should I expect to pay a little more because the existing tint and glue have to be cleaned off?

Thanks! I was expecting to pay a little more, so I'll see what happens.
