i'm pretty much set on buying the DDM slims, but when i look at other brands, some hover around 50 bucks while others are around 100. the more expensive sets are even 200-300.
is this a case where you get what you pay for or are some of the more expensive kits just plain rip-offs?

people that pay $200 on an HID kit is extremely stupid lmaooo...ive payed $30 for my kit and it has lasted me 3 years...only problem is the bulbs(which still lasted me 2 years) but can easily buy new ones for 10 bucks which is stil less than 50
i just got a new set for my gf from HIDextra.com and i got those for $30 from blackfriday sale and wel there awsomee

HID kits are pretty much illegal for sale in the US.
They are definitely illegal for use on public roads by cars that didn't originally have HIDs.
Only legal HIDs are the ones that come installed from the factory like on most luxury cars.
Since they are illegal for sale, we don't have brand name products readily available for purchase.
Most if not all HID kits are made by the same factory in China.
Here's one factory that makes a variety of HID kits, even fake Philips kits.

You'll also notice that all HID kits for sale on eBay and forums usually don't have the company name or logo on the packaging or ballasts.
What does this mean?
You have to be a sucker to pay more than what DDM charges for HID kits.

DDM is definitely the way to go. This year alone, my ddm kit has been through insane weather, and works like a champ.

Whats nice about DDM besides the lifetime warranty is the fact that they have 2 real brick and mortar stores while most do business out of secret warehouses or garages.

find a cheap price life time warranty and local,
and your set for life
if u can't find it local, see if u can find a dealer that ships over night, if not go with ddm
