for an 05 xb. Where would you put your money? Build you own box? Any DIY cool functioning designs out there?

What about a single 12 versus 2 12s or 10s?

Please help. Don't want junk. I have a bazooka now....

 

I got a really nice amp and sub in box. Alpine all the way baby!!! 500 is fair enough

 

after hitting up some local shops, one of which has done work for me before, I have decided to do my own install.

My sub box with 2 12" DVC subs, will be hid in the back hole where the spare, jack and junk catcher is stock. I think I'm going to have to raise the floor a bit to get the air space needed, but that's cool, as long as the install is "stealth" for the most part.

i've seen one box on here that is downward firing that looks wicked good.

i'd do a search, but i'm too lazy to find it now.
hrm, tried a search and didnt find anything worthwhile

i now this sounds stupid, but i never realized untill earlier today...but 15s are BIG lol i can only imagine what 18s and bigger look like

Your setup is nifty. I like it!

 

15s are mostly impractical. The response is usually to slow for most music. THEY ARE GOOD FOR COMPETEING THOUGH. a good 12 should outdo a 15, usually.

 

It all depends on how it's setup.

Before this setup I was running 2 12" Crossfires. It sounded great! They got stolen and I got a big check from the insurance so I wanted something different. This setup sounds the same as the 2 12" but hits a little harder b/c I got a better amp now then before.

1 15" is compared to about 2 12" subs
3 15" is compared to about 6 12" subs

Also 12" subs are also good for competeing as well!

 

i've always liked 12's......not as flabby as 15's but not as punchy as 10's...
