lol, so ive had my car for a couple of days, like 4 days.. and some people love it and some people question my decision..
best bang for the buck is what i say.. toyota reliability, good gas mpg, 6-spd, 180hp, 170lb torque and everything for under 20g? and the room compared to the tc1, civic, and mitsu eclipse is like double! try to get a civic with all that and under 20g..
what do you guys think is the most comparable car to this? i take it you can buy a 2009 civic si for like 18 with like 30k miles on it but who wants that 30k and a lease car? haha
anyways, just thought id vent.. economy car, sports car, poser car or whatever you wanna label it, i think the 2011 scion tc is the best bang for its buck
People will always have something to say about whatever you're driving. Whether it be a tC or an R34, there will always be haters. Like most on this forum, I knew what car I was getting. I didn't think it would outperform a GTI or an Si, but I knew I loved the redesign. I knew I could build. Even though everyone would take a k-series motor over ours or an already turbo'd car (GTI or Genesis). You can tell them you're not everyone.
I dont have haters, but pretty much its just people try to race me. Its the same few local tools that come up on me, ride my ___, do the ricer flyby. Then, I show up a few days later and ask them if they still want to be idiots to me, in my G8.
Headers, Tune, Intake, Exhaust...13.1 @ 106 terrible launch..good for high 12''s with a good 60'.

I haven't had any haters (at least not to my face), but for some reason, all the older mustangs want to race. WTH???
"Uhh... You have an '03 Mustang GT, I know your car is faster. What's your point?? Mine will actually run every time I want it to!"

Same thing happens to me when driving through town! Too funny.

Something about Mustang drivers needing to find some source of gratification since their car itself is unable to provide it......just a theory.

Same here, tired of built Mustangs trying to race me. Then there is my all time favorite... the half primered, fart can enhanced, riding on bumpstops, with factory wheels spray painted black Honda Civics..

I would say a Kia Forte Koup... A Manual SX with the moonroof comes up to 19,840. The Forte is far more customizable though - buy it bare-bones with a 156 hp 2.0, or load it up with leather, climate control, etc.
A TC most comparably optioned (to an SX with moonroof) would need sat radio, Bluetooth, and fogs to match the standard equipment of the Kia. The total would be 19,763.
Similar size, performance. The Kia is down a bit on power, but down a bit on weight as well.
As far as the "haters?" Bah, who cares. If they don't like it, they can pay my payment... or if I pay it off early (which I will), they can pay my insurance. I'm not going to drag race people in a compact car with a Camry 4-banger.
I do chuckle when I get the "ricers wanna race" crap on my motorcycle - seriously, depending on who tested it, the 0-60 times on there have usually been around 3.5 sec. Do they really think the Celica with the fart-can is going to top that?
