Post Pioneer AVH-3300BT

I have a question... I don’t really know if this is possible or not... Now since my Xb had a base Pioneer radio installed and I have the satellite radio receiver installed is there a way to make the stock satellite radio receiver work with my newly installed head unit Pioneer AVH-3300BT?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

idk how the stock satellite receiver looks, but I'm pretty sure you'd have to go out and buy the satellite receiver from pioneer to make it work on the avh-3300bt

I haven’t had a chance to pull my head unit out to take a look at the connections and the plug on the stock satellite receiver. When I hooked up the head unit I was so excited to get it installed I completely forgot about the satellite receiver. I just figured since they are both made by Pioneer…

i believe the Scion/Toyota headunits are specific plugs for the xm receivers. I know that i wouldnt be able to use the one i have in mine with the SNS100 on an aftermarket alpine. Completely different plugs.

I got a couple of things... the wiring harness http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120701761/Receiver-Wire-Harness.html?tp=2977 and dash kit http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120958202/Toyota-Scion-In-dash-Receiver-Kit.html?tp=3121 both from Crutchfield for a reasonable price.

On the bypass yes I did do the bypass I followed this YouTube post and it works great no need for a switch it automatically switches for you every time you turn your head unit on...
I mounted the mic just on top of the rear view mirror... here are some crappy cell phone pictures...

I will also be installing the Metra Axxess controller for the steering wheel control... hopefully by the end of this month.

Hey I have a question. When you hooked up the new headunit does your usb plug still work in the center console? I know this unit comes with bluetooth but it doesn't stream music from your phone right? I'm thinking about getting this unit and having it installed just don't want to regret it later! My xb is still so new!!!! LOL!

No the USB and the 3.5mm jack do not work any longer after you change out your head unit but it didn’t hurt me much because I really use the SD card option on this radio I have a 8gb SD card with all my music and that's what I listen to most of the time. The bluetooth does not stream music as far as I know I might be wrong...

But I think you can retain the 3.5mm jack if you install the Metra Axxess with the 70-8114 kit... http://metraonline.com/part/70-8114 it says it retains the 3.5mm jack input

Hmm thanks for the info. Not sure if I want to part with the USB port love that it's hidden and can charge my iPhone while I listen to it. Wonder if there are any out there that allow me to keep it.

I finally installed the Axxcess steering wheel adapter and it was so easy to install with the 70-8114 kit that I thought it wasn’t going to work. All you have to do is 12v to 12v ground to ground and plug in the wired remote to the back of the head unit... and the two rca for the 3.5mm jack and that was it. It works great with no delay.
