Scionic 02-09-2004, 08:49 PM i can't stand the stock ride on the xA. When I use to take customers on test drives they always woulds comment on how rough it was. It's funny how after market lowering springs can make it ride smoother...wierd. kdanie 02-10-2004, 04:16 AM Yes, factory springs are pretty stiff. I don't find it objectionable but Eibachs improved it considerably. They handle very well stock. ken fr130 02-10-2004, 04:27 AM Are the TRD springs Eibachs as well? Cardinal_Fang 02-10-2004, 02:30 PM I have the stock wheels and suspension on my xA, and I really like it. I've described the ride as being "like a go-kart with big wheels". While the ride is stiff, it is very responsive, and has a European feel to it. I like the fact that I can slam over speed bumps or railroad crossings without slowing down... :D It is also great on unstable surfaces like dirt roads or slushy snow....you get a better feel for lateral shifts, so you can make steering corrections must faster. C.F. jackmott 02-10-2004, 07:27 PM center of gravity is pretty high, rear suspension is pretty terrible geometry wise. but its a very light car so it feels nimble enough. C.F. Good Gawd C.F.!!! Sounds like you need a rally car more then you need a Scion  Cardinal_Fang 02-10-2004, 07:38 PM Good Gawd C.F.!!! Sounds like you need a rally car more then you need a Scion You betcha! When time comes for new tires, I'm going to jack the sucker up, put on a monster set of knobbies, and have the world's smallest monster truck! C.F. its_ikon 02-10-2004, 08:43 PM Are the TRD springs Eibachs as well? they are the same spring |
