I've seen partial bra's that cover up the hoods, is there one that covers the front end? I have a horrible amount of chips!!!! Before I get it repainted i want to make sure there is a bra avaiable.

...while i was walking through the cars, i came accros this xB with a full mask, as well as the dealers mask for the hood. the guy told me that his friend custom made it. i have to tell you...it looked really good. i told a few of us down there to go take a look at it, but there was so much other stuff to look at.

anyway, i've got the guys number and i soon as i get more info...i'll let everyone know.

I saw that too......I think I'm going to go the "clear bra"/ sticker route. I found some for $280.

Dude, you gotta let me know!! Depending on how much it would be, i might go with a clear bra too... i just know that they are expensive..

i made contact, and he said he would be calling me tonite. i tell you, the cut was great...looked really well done.

my front end is just through!!! i was thinking about getting sprayed, but like you, i want a bra first. i'll let you know what he tells me.

It's supposed to be practically invisible, it can't flap in the wind and scratch the paint, but....

It's permanent...not supposed to take it off. They say it will come off without damaging the paint, but taking it off will ruin the "bra". I have a friend that had one like it put on his WRX STi and you can't see it unless you look real close.
I'm getting mine painted and then getting one of the clear bras.

Your best bet is a "real" bra. I had the clear sticker bra put on one of my cars, It turned out to be a NIGHTMARE!!!!! The sticker started to lift after 2 months. The more it lifted, the more dirt and grit got under it. In the end, My front end was left with perminent scrathes across the hood until it drove me crazy enough to spend $1800.00 to get it repainted. So trust me, you dont want to go with the clear sticker bra. I cant recall who it was, but I heard another story about the sticker bra doing damage.

finally got in contact with him, and he's quoted me $175. i asked him if that was just for the hood cover or just for the bottom bumper cover. he said it was for both pieces...really!!!

i said that i would put it out there to whomever was interested. i'm waiting for him to send me a pic of his so you all can see it before we all start "getting in line". he does not have any pre-made, so all would be "made to order". if he had any in his car, i would have walked away with one, especially at $175. :D

daaaaaammmmm i though they would be hella more expensive than that!. The fit was reaaaalllly nice on that. really tight and looked really soft too. By Byeeeee rock chips! :wink:

I have an Original JDM front end on my xB. Any chance he can do a custom mask for it?

I want 1 also. as soon as you find out if he can do it please let us know thanks.

All I know is the lip is a little more than a inch lower than stock. And I will be receiving my new grill :wink: in 2 weeks or so. =)

BTW black housings projectors will be here soon too. 8)

I know this is an old post, but for anyone interested, Colgan sells a variety of front end masks and bras for the Xb. I just bought one and it fits great. They even offer a carbon fiber material if thats your bag. :D

I sell both 3m and the NEW venture tape and they both have their advantages. I have been installing for 4 years (over 1000 kits) and still see the vehicles to this day that look great. Proper installation is key!!!

As far as yellowing their have been some issues (especially with one companies film in particular that I have had the displeasure of working with) but the films I carry have a 5 year warr. against that.

I do not make the film rather generate the pre designed kits using the film. I beleive full heartedly in this product and it is unfortunate that bad installations and underpar film have generated posts like this.

Simply put your option is a black bra :cry: rock chips :cry: not driving your xB :cry: or protection like this :D
