I just put my kumhos on two weeks ago. I'll post results in a year. :D

215 40 18 Dayton (cheapo no name $100 tire at Big O) mounted on 7.5s
Treadwear rating 300
TRD springs
Stock shocks
Stock alignment specs
27K miles so far.
All of it on my 100 mile round trip commute which consists of nothing by mountain roads.
I corner relatively hard (normally see .85 to .90 on my G meter with a max of .95)
They are getting close, but I should be able to pull another 5K-10K miles out of them.

depending on how you drive, if your cars lowered or not, how often you have the tires rotated, how often the air pressure is checked, things like that , you show be able to get about 35k to 45k out of most any brand , but only if you take time to maintain them properly -- rotate the tires every 5k and have the alignment checked once a year and check air pressure once a month
