Default Bypass on Pioneer dvd receiver makes dash light stay on?

I recently put a Pioneer AVH P3300bt unit in my car and of course I wanted to bypass it so that I could use the bluetooth dial function even when I'm driving. So I bought this one off ebay instead of making my own or anything.

http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-VIDEO-BRAKE-BYPASS-AVH-P3300BT-AVH-P2300DVD-NEW-/150613016691?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item23113c4073#ht_797wt_743
Installed it last night and it works great only problem is that now whenever I drive my BRAKE light in the gauges is only all the time. Is there anyway around this not only is it annoying but I also won't know if there is a problem with my brakes or E-brake.

those were the instruction for mine.

What i did exactly was for the ground wire that came from the head unit i got the bypass ground wire and tied it around the little loop and grounded that to one of the screws on the top right of the mount for the head unit. Then for the blue wire i did what it says on the instructions, just spliced/put them together. And for the parking break wire i spliced open a little slit on the wire that came from the head unit, i think it was green, and just tied and taped the wire from the bypass on there and my bypass works pretty good. I do have to admit that in the process of doing this i had no idea what i was doing haha

It sounds like it could be wired wrong. Check it against this video, which also works for your P3300:

The instructions on mine were exactly the same all I did was t-tap into those three wires and it works like it should, I just figured it was something you have to put up with because its basically tricking the headunit into thinking the ebake is up at all times correct? So yours works fine and you don't have a the brake light in your dash on when your driving? I'm a little confused on what you did with the ground wire your didn't tap into it?

I wired it exactly like the guy says in the video but i'm not sure if its just something you have to put up with because of bypass, I actually figured it would only trigger the brake light in the dash whenever I tried to access a video or use bluetooth instead of all the time.

Ok so the wire from the head unit that was supposed to be grounded (black) looked like this -----C and the little "C" part was already open ready for me to ground it on some screw or whatever. All i did was take the black wire from the bypass interface, wrap it around a couple times, then i grounded it to the top right screw thing where the brace that holds the head unit goes. I didn't solder it or anything so it might not be too reliable but its been holding for a month or so so im fine haha

For the parking brake wire that is SUPPOSED to go from the head unit to the green parking brake wire from your parking brake, the end is just floating around in the back somewhere and all i did was T-tap into it with the green wire from the bypass interface then i taped around it. I didn't even touch the green wire from my actual parking brake.

And for the blue wire i just spliced it together and taped it like it said on the instructions

I hope thats clearer! I'm not too good with explanations but just let me know if its not clear yet and ill try to help ya out

I think I figured it out, I wired the unit up Saturday before I got the bypass so I had the light green wired in the e-brake so now i just need to disconnect that since I already have the bypass green wire tapped into the e-brake wire on the pioneer harness.

Yup that should be it! Cause mines not connected to my parking brake wire. Glad you got it working!
