Hi everyone! I've been lurking around here for a while now and I love this place so far, so I thought I would poke my head up for once.

The speed shop just called letting me know my coilovers came in. They'll be going on either tonight or tomorrow evening. I searched around a bit but I didn't find anyone who has them on. I was wondering if anyone has done them and is there anything I should know specific about the TC2?

Regardless, I'll put up pictures and let you guys know how it turns out!

A couple guys have them, could not tell you who. They keep kinda quiet about it. Anyways there is tons of room for drop. The 1.5f & 1.8r drop of the S-Tech's barely put my arms level with the ground. Cars still drives straight, handles better and no funny noises. I still have to get an alignment this weekend, but I doubt anything is really out of whack. Installing them should be a breeze, car is super easy to work on. It took me and a mechanic 2.5 hours to install springs using simple hand tools. So if they try to charge you for a lot of hours be wary. Setting your ride hieght may take some time though. Please keep us updated, if your coilovers give a good ride quality at moderate drop levels I may have to go that route later.

Don't worry... It's going all the way down. I managed to get the front done last night before I called it quits. It went pretty smooth but took longer than I wanted it to. I'll be putting the rear on tonight if the rain holds off until later. I have the front adjusted maybe half way because the back is still stock, don't know how well that would work out with the front to the ground.

I will put up pictures as soon as it's done!

THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!
Your car will be the deciding factor for me(and a few others on the site)

So I finished the install last night.
That nice comfortable factory ride is completely gone, but holy hell does she take 90 degree turns like a champ! Took it out to some really fun roads last night, the kind where you see the "S" with the arrow warning signs every eighth mile or so, haha. It's so much tighter now, almost no roll, even while pushing it hard.

I still need to let everything settle, and although the rear is slammed, the front still needs to be put down. I need to figure out something with a ramp or a shorter jack to achieve that though, my jack almost didn't make it past the front bumper as is.

Tolerable, but not very comfortable. On decent roads you can't tell the difference, until you hit a bump, or a manhole cover, or a pebble... haha. Although I drive to work through an industrial area where apparently they never bother fixing anything, so that can get pretty rough.

Nice, can you get some full car shots whenever you get the front fixed? Really wanna see how clean it all looks as a package.

Absolutely. I hope I can get it all adjusted tomorrow, I'm dying to see the final results. And there will be gratuitous pictures, I need a new desktop background anyways, haha.

Looks killer! Too bad I wouldn't make it out of my driveway, let alone over all the speedbumps around sitting that low

FINALLY! It's done! Between work, rain, and the effing tornado that hit my town this last week, I was able to drop the front last night. Also, the ride has smoothed out considerably now that everything has had time to settle. It's still very rough compared to the stock ride, but it is at least tolerable now, haha. Anyways, here are some more pictures:

Just curious about where you are now compared to stock height.

Is the front at maximum low?
I'm confused cause in the last set of pictures you posted, the first shot shows the coils to be about half way down...

Yeah, I took that picture right after I took the wheels off. Being the genius I am, I didn't take another picture after adjusting it it, but they are all the way down now.

And for everyone asking about the height, I'll measure them once I get off work and report back.

I'm also planning some time this week on test fitting some wheels from a buddy of mine, as well as spacers. We'll see how that turns out!

Sorry for the delay... So it looks ~25.2" in the front, ~25.6" in the back. I should have measured before installing these, but does anyone have the stock measurements?

Awesome! Thank you.

It could definitely stand to go lower, but I don't know if I would. I think where it is now is about a low as is safe for my area. A friend of mine with a Nissan 240 put it nearly to the ground, and he scrapes all the time with the roads here.

Vox

List price on TEIN's website is $1060, I paid about $950 before tax.
