So I was reading one of the other posts and he said that the TC does not come with a cabin air filter but it has the space for one to be installed. So did they just not put the filter in? Or do you have to buy a parts kit so that a cabin filter can be installed?

There is a place to put the filter, but no filter from the factory. Very easy to install.

That is just ridiculously cheap in my book.....

don't know on the 2nd gen tc but on 1st gen even tho there is a slot for it there isn't a filter for it from the factory. the parts list at toyota for cabin filters doesn't even have it listed for a tc because it could interfere with the a/c system operation.

people have put ones in that will fit like from the corolla or custom make one themselves.

i personally don't have one because of that reason.

Nothing this filter will interfere with. Just a simple addition to provide cleaner air.

well in that case i would get one then. like i said i didn't know on 2nd gen. maybe they improved the blower on the second gen.
