Default Removing Interior Plastic Pieces

Sorry for the extremely newbie question, but how difficult is it to remove the silver plastic pieces on the dash and shifter? I want to paint them piano black but I don't wanna risk breaking them in the process...also if I take the screw out of the door panel that holds down the window buttons, should they just pop out?

the pieces around the shifter are super easy, just pull em off. same with the pieces around the a/c controls, stereo (with the 2 vent rings), and top dash piece around the gauge cluster (left vent ring is connected to this). the far right vent ring is a _____, you pretty much gotta take the whole dash apart. i didnt do this tho, i just used an insane amount of tape and sprayed it inside my car. turned out OK. if you want to get the gauge cluster out there will be a few screws, still very easy. as for the pieces by the window controls, yes i believe they will pop out if the screws are removed.

It is really easy once you get the part around the radio out. There are two screws that pretty much hold the dash in place. Take those out and then pull up on the dash and the dash will move so that you can pull the A/C controls and the piece that has the mirror adjustment in it. I just did this a couple of days ago. Once you start taking it apart you will see what i am talking about. After you are done it just snaps back into place. It is easy believe me if i can do it anyone can.

Alright guys I got everything painted and put a few layers of clearcoat on...I know it isn't great, but I love it compared to the stock silver that was on there! Tell me what you think!
