WORLD-Racing are selling Carbon fiber and fiberglass roof 2011 tC. We have Fiberglass in stock weights 15lbs. The stock glass weights 90lbs.
We so can get a Dry Carbon fiber roof that weights 3lbs. Here pics of the fiberglass roof.

i like i like and 90 vs. 3 lbs...what a huge difference

 

I still want the sunroof though...

 

If any of my roof glass cracks/breaks I am all over this. Read in that other thread about the rear moonroof exploding, and it costing over 2 bills to replace the entire assembly...

So correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a replacement for the whole roof, from the sunroof back to the hatch?

Can you gut the sunroof assembly/motor/etc for more weight savings, or is the 90lbs just the weight of the replaced glass?

 

If only it comes in 2 pieces the front & rear of the roof glass & leaving the sunroof there for support idk hahah

 

I wouldn't think opening the sunroof with a 3lb piece of dry carbon with a large surface area would not be a good idea at average speeds. You could however (in the event that they would create two cosmetic pieces), 3M the two pieces to the glass on the roof. However, this would bring the roof weight up to 93lbs...

 

if you still wanted the glass with the carbon fiber look. just vinyl it.. weighs maybe 91 lbs. only way i would buy this. is if i also got a dry carbon hood and hatch.

 

are there any updates for this? i dont see this on the website
