Default HELP! Bazooka not working on CDs w/ aftermarket HU

I got a new Sony HU and now my bazooka sub (factory installed) is not working while listening to CDs, but works with radio. Anyone have any clue? What would cause this? Defective HU?

Sounds like youve got the antenna turn on lead (blue wire) hooked up instead of the amp turn on lead (blue/white stripe) at the HU! This will cause the problem that you are describing, when the radio is turned on the blue wire gets 12volts and when the cd is play the blue wire loses 12 volts but the blue white has power all the time when the HU is on regardless of what is being played radio or CD.
Hope this helps
Chris

Wow, that sounds easy enough. It doesn't sound like it, but will this cause any problems until I can tear it open? I don't want to melt my antennas. Just to confirm, I checked and the amp/sub is not getting any juice on CD or XM, and is getting some on radio.

Thanks again.

No you wont burn anything up, so no worrys until you can tear into it! And what you decribed is exactly what would happen if the wrong wire is hook up! if you need anything else just PM me, ill be glad to help you out !
