Default 2006 xB Halo light kit..

Hey guys im pretty new to the site but ive been a scion owner for about 5 years now...I have a set of HID bulbs and ballasts and was wondering about these Halo style lights..

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA08B01B2342

I want to know if they will work with my car and if i can still run my HID's with them..also i was wondering how if the halo's work with running lights or both running and normal lights..Please if you could get back to me asap cause im very interested in purchasing these..thanks in advance

I believe those use a different bulb than the stock headlight. As far as the halos lighting up, it depends on how you wire them. You can wire them to come on with the parking lights or with the headlights.

PS Most after market headlight sets are not sealed properly + condensation may occur sometimes inside the lens. To fix this- prior to installation you must apply a clear bead of silicone around the whole outer headlight seal/seam to assure no air gets inside the crack. This headlight may have rubber plugs in the back, do not remove to keep it air tight.

As far as your HID kit it will may need to match the type of bulb 9006 recommended for the Sonar aftermarket headlight

You may find a write up here on SL for installation of Sonar headlights, which is the style you are interested in buying on newegg + also popular on ebay

I have an extra one brand new like that for sale...based on my experience with HID Kit with sonar headlamps seems to be good...when I used the sonar headlamps i've never had condensation or fogging problems and I live in NJ where cold season goes from Oct to March....

I'm getting a set like this used.. I plan on doing the sealing and wiring the LED's to my blinkers and the halo's to my running lights.. so.. the halo's will be on when the running lights are on and the LED's will blink when the blinkers go off.. Hoping it doesn't fail.. Maybe I'll post up a video when I get em going..

fyi - the set with the led's and halos are crappy, they are non DOT and non adjustable.
the set linked above is the better set, which are DOT approved and adjustable.. better light output..

ive had both, and can verify the set with the led's are craptacular, unless you are talking about the set that has the led eye brows, those seem to be ok, but i havent had those.. the ones you dont want are the ones with the 3 led's on the bottom..

agreed^
I have had sets of both ... neither leaked but the led's ones were not as reliable but IMO look better... the TYC's if you can find them are still the top dog

I'm deciding on some projectors myself...looking at the sonars or Eagle Eyes G2:

I've heard alot of good things about Sonars, but any comments on the Eagle Eyes?

Never heard of Eagle Eyes G2, But, we all heard of the reputable brand which sell as Anzo(Mfg) Scion xB projectors which seem to look like the Eagle Eyes.

The Anzo (which I have now) were always more costly than the Sonars.
