About $3500

140-150 horsepower at the crank

A turbo is a little cheaper, but more labor intensive to install. Power is about the same.

Cusco. If you look closely you can read the label.

I'm not doubting you, just curious how you can tell.

By the windshield wipers perhaps? Since it is right hand drive, they go left to right not right to left? Maybe. I'm just guessing. :ponder:

Nope. Wipers sit the same way they do on the xb.

Please don;t communicate with emoticons.

I connect to this site using a text-only browser on an old VAX system and can't see them.

That is quite an impressive box you got there... I mean, computer, not xB. Hehe.

the SC it self is a great unit. but the piggy back system it comes with is not.
it works great for a few weeks then the factory ecu with relearn it self and the car will start to sputter and stall..... re-program the piggy back to correct it in a couple of weeks it will do it again. even with the head engineers from blitz reprogramming it. it's the way the piggy back gets the injector signal and returns it to the stock ecu from what i heard.

if you really want to you can probably get a AEM EMS ODBII to work with the xB. not sure if the ODBII box is released yet though....

what comes with the kit and how much hp did you gain? how much did it cost you?

ugly_duck
03-21-2005, 04:34 AM
seems like a lot of money for a few more hp. Just accept the fact you drive a slow box and you will feel better and have 3 or 4 grand extra.

looks great. I want to see a clear shot of the blitz supercharger in the engine bay. Does it allow the use of a intercooler? I'm curious since that SC looks like it has a cold air intake, or something. Like to get more info.

Also would running a piggy back like SAFC, or maybe a Buddy club piggy back be better? i heard the Blitz ECU isn't that great too...just wondering.

Yeah, we have the Blitz s/c on the Scion of El Cajon car. To be honest, I'm not sure if they've gotten it back from Monster yet, but those of you in San Diego can give them a call and see. I'm know a lot of the SoCal people are familiar with the kit, it's on quite a few xB's rolling around.

I've posted on it a lot, if you do a search you can probably find a bunch of comments. I've got some pics of it in my Imagestation, let me dig up the link...

Rather than create a new album, I'm just going to post a link to all my imagestation pics. There are some really good ones of the Blitz s/c, including some shots of when we went to the Blitz garage in LA for the install....they let us drive the xA from SEMA and had the skyline in the garage!!!!! Awesome day.

Anyway, here you go.

thanks for the pics. So no Intercooler can be installed right? Also what you think about the kit? Worth the price it's being sold for? Is the throttle body back in the stock location? thanks for the info.

I don't think an SAFC would help either. Piggybacks still have to work with the limitations of the ECU. You'd probably want something like a fully tuned Haltec if you want real power. If someone is willing to spend the money to do the work, I'd love to see it.
