Hi guyz im about to move to canada in a couple of months and im planning to buy a new car, preferebly the scion tC and i was wondering if there are any scion dealers in canada or if your allowed to import it over. i searched for the topic and found one about not allowed importing tC but they said it could change in the next year, so does anyone kno if ur allowed to import or if they have scion dealers in canada?

 

NO Scion in Canada and most likely there never will be. I am not sure about the importing part.

 

Yea Scion's are only in the US and i think they're keeping it that way. Have you thought of buying a tC in the states and taking it with you?

 

yeah thats what i was gonna do then i saw a thread about importing a scion tC is illegal and he said they may allow it but iono, anyone wit an update about that?

 

There is no Scion in Canada, though last time I was there I'm pretty sure they had something similar to the xA under the Echo nameplate.

I can't remember if it was echo or not, but I remember toyota had a runt car similar to the xA that we don't have in the US.

 

I think that would be cool if you took your tC with you to canada. That way, you would really stand out in the crowd since there are no scions there.

 

scion is not only sold in USA. It's orgin is from eurpoe where it is sold there, all modesl besides Tc and someo models that aren't sold in the united states

Well no Scion are not sold already in Canada, but good friends of mine working in car industries in canada (I come from Quebec so I keep in touch!!)told me that the tC will probably be sold in Canada in 2007 maybe even 2006 under toyota with a different name. also, for those who make some trip to canada with there tC ( I do), any toyota dealer will perform stuff under warranty on your car.

The question about importing the tC is however not easy! I dont know but to import my MR2 in the US it is a pain in the a$$ so far.! So I would plan on an other car or even easyer, by want you are there!!

Finally about the car looking a little like the xA. It is an ECHO HATCHBACK. Only sold in canada. Also Quebec is the only place having the ECHO cup, really cool racing serie!! Nice little car, drove one and was really cool, but small!!!

The tC shares its platform with the Avensis, a sedan Toyota sells in Europe.
They dont sell it there, thats where the idea came from.
