SquallLHeart 07-21-2011, 10:09 AM hmm.. sorry. do not like. brushlessdavid 07-23-2011, 01:47 PM here check out my straight pipe video http://youtu.be/An2a3et1UmI SquallLHeart 07-23-2011, 11:42 PM i've heard farts better than that. dropzone 07-24-2011, 12:40 AM Not for me. I'll stick to my Agency Power being raspy with an exhaust leak from the muffler twisting itself off, think it sounds better. Add some resonators and a different muffler to that "straight pipe" setup. Bloodborn 08-03-2011, 01:06 PM How does that thing drive? Any problems? Doesn't the straight pipe kill the back pressure? brushlessdavid 08-03-2011, 04:36 PM it drives fine man no problems at all my car has been straight piped for about 5000 miles not one probem as far as perforance goes its a li more torquey at the bottom end and it is the greatest sound up around 6000 rpm and i dont feel like im loosing power as i climb rpm so back presure is not a probem durp 08-04-2011, 05:48 PM What made you want to go straight pipe? brushlessdavid 08-04-2011, 10:23 PM It's cheaper then buying a 500 dollar exhaust it cost me all but $30 to straight pipe my car and it don't sound bad it's not a tuned tone but it's a harsh very mean tone mmmpshh 08-04-2011, 10:33 PM Do NOT get flowmaster. Get a magnaflow high flow muffler WellesleyScion 08-04-2011, 10:39 PM ^^^DONT get a magnaflow either! The design of the OE exhaust is the exact same as a Magnaflow straight through. Looking back I should have just done a resonator delete, instead of doing the magnaflow and res delete... basically the magnaflow was a waste of money... 0 change in sound when I had just the muffler swapped. To the OP, did you remove both the muffler and the resonator, or just the muffler? mmmpshh 08-04-2011, 10:48 PM ^ he needs a good exhaust w/ a magnaflow... I've had both so Im speaking from experience well then again, the best muffler for a tc is a turbo. lol Sounds great!!! WellesleyScion 08-04-2011, 11:01 PM ^^^ a first gen and a second gen sound drastically different. The magnaflow I used on my xD sounds perfect, the same muffler on the tC2 sounds like poop... Piping size has to be changed for the tC2 to sound good... Although, I do agree 100% with a turbo being the best muffler for any car. mmmpshh 08-04-2011, 11:03 PM really, I didnt think they sounded that diff... well there u go WellesleyScion 08-04-2011, 11:36 PM ^^^yea second gens are designed to sound more aggressive than the first gens, problem is that if you just run a new muffler it has no sound change unless you remove the resonator, then it sounds like the video posted above.... johndeo11 08-05-2011, 04:23 AM Scion TC Muffler Delete Straight Pipe Exhaust: http://youtu.be/Z9an4vgGtik off topic question. you live in socal around cerritos? just askin... DtrTc2 08-05-2011, 08:34 AM i had straight pipe on mine for a bit and it sounded ok but killed my gas and lost torque off the line, after the turbo kit i put the straight pipe on for a few days and with no cat and no muffler it sounds wicked and got a few fire balls after she was nice n hot |
