What are the chances?
Ok.......I know this is a stretch.........but........what are the chances that there are beefier rods that already exist for another application (car), that would fit our engines?
The reason I ask is because I know, for instance, that with certain volvos, you can get a crank from a Volvo Penta (their aquatic/boat devision) that will actually stroke their their 2.3L automobile engines up to 2.5 or 2.6L.....something like that.
So......I was just wondering if there is even a remote possibility that there are other rods out there that we could find that were beefier that would work for our engines. A junkyard sure beats custom work. Or......perhaps, there's rods that WOULD work given some adjustment to the pistons and crank.
