Default New Scion owner. Just saying hello

hey guy. i just bought a 06 scion tc. its pretty beat up.. got a great deal on it.. planning on fixing it up. im gonna list the things it needs done and maybe u guys can help me out with where to get the stuff done and what parts to use.

paint: the whole car needs to be painted. gonna keep the same color. any good paint , body shop?

carbon hood: its all faded. i think it needs to be replaced or can it be fixed?

brake pads and rotors: it needs new pads and rotors

the cars got 60k miles on it. and its never been in a wreck.

sweet what part of dfw you located im near irving area but i usaly hangout around arlington/mansfield area post some pics up what color is your car if your not intrested in your cf hood let me know. txt me 972-989-1706

im in plano.. preston and parker to be exact.. ill probably put some pics up tommorow..

i got a quote for 1700 to repaint and do the hood from a friends friends body shop... he says its good paint with 2 coats of clear-coat.. is tht good enough?

the cars blue... u guys might have seen this car on the forums before.. lemme find the link for it..

OMFG thats hot and 1500 for your hood is bending you over without lube lol i got mine redone for 450 with paint hit me up and i will take you out that way which is in the ft worth area.

ok so need some help guys.. i took out the brake pads today... the rotors are warped.. so the pads have alot of metal? left

should i just machine the rotors and put em on.. or should i go with ebc slotted with yellow stuff?

I would upgrade to the slotted rotors with pads, in the end it would be cheaper. Check the exclusive sponsered sales in the classifieds they have a lot of good deals.

Go with some drill/slotted rotors if possible. You can find OEM size drill/slotted rotors on eBay for a good deal. good luck with them!

Don't go with drilled they crack over time slotted ;)

just got done bedding in my rotors and pads! i went with non slotted or drilled.. got the best stuff pepboys had.. i know i shouldve saved up and gotten ebc or rotora. but these rotors are made by wagner.. just not sold under their name... the car steering doesnt shake anymore when i brake and they do a pretty decent job. now just gotta get the car painted and do all the little bitty stuff.. does anyone know how to update the gps on a avic-z1 by pioneer?
