So i got a flat tire the other day. I took it into a local shop to get it patched and plugged, but they said the damage is in the sidewall so they can't do anything about it. So now i need a new tire. My car only has 10,000 miles on it. Shouldn't this be covered by my warrenty? BTW, i don't know if this makes any difference, but i have the optional rim & tire package, w/ the PZero tires.

Thanks in advance
Tobias

i dunno but i have the OEM rims and tires and when i had a hole in it because they ran over a nail, (they as in dealer) they didnt cover my tires, i had to go to an outside shop and get it fixed myself

To the dealership, tires are like oil. It's just a consumable.

skippy, you totally should have had your tire repaired or
replaced by the dealership if the damaged happened while
in their posession! My dealership would have taken care of it!

Sorry to say, but I doubt the dealership will help you on this. Im not sure if you have a Discount Tire where you live, but if you do you should get the tire warranties. I got all 4 tires covered for "road hazard" for 16 bucks a tire. Now, if I run over a nail, its 16 bucks for a new one. Just a thought. Good luck either way.

if something is in the tire like a nail and stuff the dealer clearly has nothing to do with it.

if the sidewall makes a bubble then it is a defect and you have a good case to get it fixed
