Hello everyone,

I have a 09 xB 6.0 and of course its the Absolutely Red color and I was wondering, I have TRD 5 Spoke rims 19x8 and they have a polished lip. I just wanted to get some opinions getting them powdercoated the Absolutely Red and leaving the Polished Lip. Any ideas would be wonderful. Like would it look good or if anyone has ever done that before.

 

Had mine powder coated about a month ago. Cost 280 for complete sand blast and Satin Black all over. It will be more expensive if you go your route, but would look very sweet!! Keep us posted!

I would be interested to see it when its done I was going to do this when I first got mine, but I was on the fence about if it was going to be to much red. I will def get some attention. Make sure you post some pics if you get it done.

I say sell the TRDs and buy some polished ccw classics!

 

Ricersux.......sure as soon as hes sales his 1000 wheels and saves up 2000 more for just the wheels......LOL. BTW I love CCW wheels I had them on my GTO.

dang they brought CCW's on this now, haha, i wouild like to see the red with polished lip though.

That to me looks sick, the car color seems off though. I would leave the center cap alone and hand brush the TRD writing to a different color that are on the lugs and on the wheels, since its in red

 

Yeah the color is off cause is was white to start with .....LOL . Could not find a red car on TRD wheels so I just made the white one read and then did the wheels. I just did it fast cause I wanted to see what it would look like. I found the pic the other day and posted it for you. Gives you a general idea of what it could look like.

 

I appreciate it Bruh Bruh, I really like it, I only see it around my area on the crappy Honda's and I think it looks sweet.

 

Not a prob if you get it done make sure to post pics........do the TRD in a bright color so it stands out against the already bright red.

 

I know it's been a while but here's an update guys. Rims are out at a friends for paint. $150 a wheel and another $150 to fix the curb and chips in the rims. They will be a Lexus Pearl White and I'm having the TRD still in red and I will be purchasing the TRD Tuner Lugs in red too in a little. I'll have pics up probably next month when I throw a teaser on.

 

$150 a wheel for paint!? I'd look elsewhere. You can get powdercoat for much less.

 

It's going to be a multi-coat Pearl White and there is a Mercedes Clearcoat going on and he is doing the majority of the rim and they are 19's with a big lip.

 

I know what TRD 19's look like, guy. I have a set.
Still, $150 a wheel is preposterous. You can get pearl white powdercoat, too. Then again, I'm sure there's a lot more prep and labor in physically painting the wheel than powdercoat.
However, the OEM TRDs are painted.
