Question Clutch pedal clicking

When the clutch pedal is depressed 2/thirds of the way something clicks like a latching mechanism with audible "click" I think it's just the nature of the beast but my friends think it makes the car feel cheap. Does anyone hear this clicking sound too?

Two thirds down is probably in the neighborhood of where the over-center spring tips. It normally isn't audible though, so as suggested, something may need tightening.

Thanks guys, I stuck my head under there where the clutch pedal is and the hood latch cable that looks like a bicycle brake cable was just dangling and touching the clutch pedal body.

There's a white plastic clip near by that looks like its used to hold some wire in place but this hood latch cable will never be able to reach there so my thinking was that since the cable wasn't long enough to reach the white clip, when the car got rolled down to the next station, the factory worker prob went "f&%k it" and left it hanging.

It only took 2 zip ties to the BCM wire harness and it's secure in place and no more annoying clicking noises. But now, when I pull on the hood latch lever it won't go back down so I have to push it back down manually.

Should I just cut the zip ties and take it to the dealer and see what they would do?

Sounds like the zip ties caused the cable to bend and so the release wire is binding. Perhaps there's a more relaxed path for it to follow?

Well, when the cable exits the latch lever assembly, it curves upwards and flows past to the left of the clutch pedal. It's very cramped in this area with all the wires, pedal brackets etc.. (hard to get your hands in there)

I'm going to go back the way it was and take it to the dealer without telling them my findings and see what they would do with the "clicking noise"

Btw I bought it brand new in June, and so far it has 8700 miles on the car.
