Funny thing is... thanks to some posts on here... guess who called this morning... TWM hahaha

"Why are you trying to rip off our shifter?" James don't go there.... James don't go there...

Do these guys think they are the only ones that can design a shifter these days? Please... so TWM if you are reading this post, which I am sure you are... READ more before calling and harassing myself and my company.

Thanks
James
Wow, didnt mean to cause a stir if my post was responsible. I was just under the impression from reading posts elsewhere that this was the case with this shifter. After checking this is really all I found from creativecompacts directly:

I know you guys are a good reputable company and I was really looking forward to ordering my shifter from you, I just got too impatient, lol. Do you have the final details of the shift height reduction and throw percent reduction?

Our shifter was produced to similar specs... In all honestly, there isn't many ways you can change a shifter! We have fired off our sample shifter to a test car and the testing should be completed by the weekend. We will also be probably including in our kit risers to bring the entire shift assembly up about 1/2 inch. If we need to make the shifter longer, that is simple to do and it will be done before production.

Thanks
James

Can you explain that part for me, if you include the risers can you install it without them, so the shifter is still short, because i dont want it to be 1/2" longer i want it short!

Once you guys get your installation instructions put together, especially with pictures, it would be cool to post them. I'd be much more inclined to buy if the installation instructions looked well put together and trustworthy.

At this time I am happy to announce the shifter went in flawlessly as planned. The shifter was sent to another Scion Life member whom I have personally not met so we could get some unbiased opinions on the shifter. He will be making a post shortly. It got too late tonight to get the images of the shifter installed but we should have those tomorrow. Risers were shipped with the kit, however they haven't been installed and should have more information on those early next week. If all goes well.. we should be able to start taking preorders on Monday for $89 a shifter No 5% discount on that price BTW LOL

Thanks
James

First, I want to say thanks to James for letting me be the guinea pig on this. It is much appreciated.

The install was *very* easy. I used the howto write up for the twm shifter (https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...+shift+install)
so thanks to cad455 for supplying that! The entire install took 75 minutes.

This kit dramatically improves the "sloppy" feel of the stock setup. the CC kit makes the shifts feel very crisp and clean, even much nicer than my sister's IS300. Additionally, the height has been reduced to an excellent level: short enough to fix the awkward look of the stock shifter height, yet not so much that it prevents resting your shift arm on the center console as you shift.

Other things I would liek to mention: James was kind enuff the include a spare part for the retaining ring that most people are splicing off with a dremel. I really can't stress how impressed I am with the build quality of the kit, the ease of installation, and of course the performance of the kit. Excellent work James!

I would *definitely* recommend this setup for look/feel, as well as ease of installation. For any of the local Mid Atl people that want to check it out, lemme know, I'll be happy to let you take a look/feel. I'll also be at the BBQ on the 17th, and possible at MIR on April 1st.

Thanks again James for all the effort you put into this.
Dave
