I LOVE this car!! I just bought one tonight! Traded in my 2011 tC for this one :) it's awesome! The push start is fun but I really like the blue tooth in the radio :) also the Trd goodies all around the car. Black rims and black mirrors it's beautiful!!

Not sure what I want to add yet but I'll think about it :) I will put in my cold air intake for sure

I am looking at 2 and thinking of buying one on Tuesday. Who the hell tries to buy a car on a weekend when all the banks are closed?! Both are automatic. What is yours, and what do you think about its performance, or lack of??

damn im really thinking about trading mine in. I bought mine and i only owe 12,600 on it right now, and im not sure if i want to trade and use the left over towards the down payment to the rs, or since i owe so little on it just wait for a nice bodykit to come out and paint it the color i want to paint it and customize the interior. I really dont need push start and all that extra stuff. Plus i just test drove the new 2012 civic si and i have to say whoa! my scion with all the mods i have on it now cudnt keep up with that car

I'm trying to figure out these numbers myself. I chose to do 72 months because I figured it would drop the monthly bill and I can double up when I feel like it....but it's still not making sense to me. I work at a Toyota dealer and ran the credit, did the numbers in the comp the other day so I know exactly what I'm dealing with when the car arrives. I got 5.09% for 72 months @ $359 a month. Seems kind of expensive for a TC even if the RS7 is $2000 more. I mean I'm paying less than I did for my 2011 Camry SE V6 which was a 3yr lease but only by $30.......

Any input would be appreciated. Oh and I'm not upside down...I went into this RS7 deal, fresh.

Sounds right to me if you are rolling in TT&L and have no $$$ down. You can do a google search for "car payment calculator" and put in all your numbers to double check.

I'm actually putting $2000 down, which should bring me to just about $21000 give/take. I did use the estimator on Scion's site for a base TC. With my ballpark credit on that thing and 6.94% and $2000, they're giving me $312. So in actuality this RS7 is $23000 n change lets say, with $2000 down @ 5.09%....uMMm I'm also guessing/hoping $359 a month is about right

*EDIT* I used the car loan calculator and got $370...So I guess I'm good lol

I just realised that when I put it in the calculator the first time, I put 7 years....no wonder it was cheap. Just redid it with your numbers and its about the same. What is sales tax in New York? Also, you will have dealer fees and title fees, about $200-$300 more, on top of the tax.

I love this car guys...it's awesome! I only did this because my monthly payment didn't go up that much $30 bucks...but it is more expensive so I was ok with that. I'm at 5.25 and $360 a month. Not bad. If it was going to be a huge change I wasn't gonna do it because I had a new car no need for the RS but I'm glad it worked out!! I LOVE IT!!

Ahhh so it's kind of like the 11' SE w/upgraded JBL radio I just had. Except that had subs in the door and rear with the mid's for voice. It sounded crazy! I will miss that about the Camry SE. How is the radio in this car anyway? I know it's 300w but is it clear...nice bass?

I believe it has 6x9's on both sides with 4" and tweeter with true carbon fiber speakers. as far as sound quality they really live up to their motto, "clean clear crisp". They use stock radio and its so weird.

Mark Levinsons has nothing on these guys... really crazy sound quality and great price with dealer warranty. you cant go wrong.

I think you are asking about the stock system? IF so, it sounds great. I am not the first person to say this, but it happened to me too:

Went to the local car audio shop because I want just a little extra thump. After the guy who has been doing car sterios for 15+ years hears my stock system he says "If all car audio systems came like this, I wouldent be in buisness."
Its that good stock.

EDIT: I have the upgraded Alpine head unit, and have never heard the stock radio, but I cant imagine it is that much difference...

As what I was told by these guys the system is only good for the iQ because of it's acoustic measurements. If you would place this iQ system in any car it wouldn't sound right. I've heard it on their demo iQ vehicle and it was amazing.

I wish someone in this forum can vouch for me how crazy this system is.

no it wont work...their engineers design the products specifically for the specs/cabin of the specific car. however...(see below)

OEM Audio+ is the best for high quality audio

Unless I'm completely mistaken, they are 6x9 "woofers". Tweeter = High, Mid Range = Mids, Woofer = Low, Subs = Ultra low audio response. They have a hidden subwoofer for the audio package that sits in trunk.

We have to be technical on these forms, since some of the readers are new to audio. It would be like calling the stock air filter box, a cold air intake. While it does pull some cold air from outside the engine bay, it's not a true CAI.

nothing is set yet, they are only scion for now (only current gen scions to be exact)...but their goal is toyota (they will do older gens first though, i think) then maybe even other manufactures. baby steps

they are just barely starting...the guys are like a group of friends or like family...very cool, casual, nice, and really into audio/cars. very relaxed...in addition to the cars we even ended up talking about some of the most random things...like Frank&Sons, Horse Racing, Car Meets...haha i dont even remember

and yes, the sub enclosure is glossy...they tried it in the cement demo tC2...it didnt really match...but with the RS and its matching high voltage interior it should look good.

ur talking about the price?

yea it sounds about right for what you get...its like a custom build, easy install, high quality, home theatre inside your car

obviously you can get random components from different brands and install it ur own way for much cheaper...but it will not be tuned specifically for the most optimal sound output than can be obtained within the cabin of the tC2

$1300 is a high price but you look at the stuff you get.. "Finely tuned for your vehicle". How many car speaker manufacturers you know that does that? Jbl's on toyota's? Bose on Nissan's? Rockford's on Mitsubishi?, etc... They do these systems but are they worth it? I DON'T THINK SO! I just had never heard anything like this system before, very unique.

You gotta hear it to believe it. Its just so easy for us to compare and contrast because we heard their demos in California.
If you guys really want to hear it I guess you can ask you local scion dealership for demos.
As I can see on their Facebook they finally launched their stuff on the main Scion website.

I dont disagree with you, but when are dealer service departments not trying to milk customers? And sure, if you order it on the car new, they may wave install fees to make a sale, but that doesent help us folks that already have the car, and want the dealer to install it simply for warranty purposess.

Good one! Druidiron you're absolutely right. What about us folks who already have the tC. If this audio company able to pay for our audio installation at the dealership and able to maintain our warranty, shoot I'll do it.

wait what is the question? can dealership fees be waved?

i lightly touched on the issue with them about that before and the main answer was "there is a DIY and it is easy"

but then again i was already thinking about the DIY which is probably why we mainly talked about that over the dealer install

Yes, can it be waved and how about the 3 year warranty? Is it only good for newly purchased vehicle from the dealership?

I would really like a 3 year warranty but with the company's experience it looks like they know what they're doing.

ex. if u just bought the car new with OEM+ then everything is 3 year OR if u bought ur car a year ago so u only have 2 years left..then the OEM+ only has 2 years left

i will ask and get get back to u asap...they might be busy though because they are going to scion exposed in the midwest next week

In a glossy black, that doesent look bad at all. As far as the warranty goes, it is 3yr 36k IF the dealer installs it. If you install it, I imagine it will be a 12month 12k like all trd parts are when you install them yourself.

why are u mad about it?
i understand its really silly that the 011 model had only 1 but its good that the 012 model has both lights
The car should have come like that.. all yellow plastick instead of silver

something else:when we went to the dealership my mom told me she saw another rs7 (automatic, so i didnt even care) that had regular seats ( not the yellow ones)

something something else:

THE CAR LOOKS #@$%^^! AMAZING!!!!! love it soooo much. too bad its not turbo from factory. i would probably jump on it. but i will stay with my 05 till i find an rwd turbo car that i like.
And the stock echaust sounds soooo awesome. any magazine did any comparo against the si?

They cut corners for the '11 and won't admit it yet know they were wrong by including it in the '12. Yea, that's a little off putting. If they keep telling everyone there is nothing wrong with the single reverse light in the '11 why did they feel it necessary to make it standard in the '12? Mhm

2010 tC1 sales were so low they couldn't afford it at the time for the 2011....but 2011 tC2 sales were so good that they had the extra cash to do more r&d on a 2nd light for the 2012 tC2?

its a stretch...but what else makes sense? haha

They added to second light because alot of people made complaints according to my dealership..from i was told people made complaints to the dealership and the dealership actually installed second reverse lights on peoples cars because people were bringing the car back like saying they wanted to return it and buy another car

Yesterday – Saturday, 17 September 2011, there were about 500 Scion enthusiasts at the 7th Annual “Scion – Go Exposed” event at Kil-Kare Race Park in Xenia, OH. There was an RS 7.0 there the whole time…and not once did I see a person even take a glance at it. My car attracted more attention than the RS 7.0 did! There was an iQ there and there were always people around it. The RWD 2011 tC drift car was there that obviously attracted a bunch of attention. As far as the RS 7.0 goes, nada…I like the grill and I like the pushbutton start…but that’s about it.

^^ Riiiiiiiiiite

Anyways, here's 2 more pix I took real quick on my way into work this morning. Front plate mount, HID's and 20% tint. I'm still annoyed that we can't tint the tail lights on these cars. :icon_twisted:

Why ye be nay sayin'? Ye can tint yer tail lights. Found me a land lover who did the work for a fairrr price. Tinted the tails, third brake light and side mirror signals for slight more then the cost to raid a small village ($100)http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/l570/MightyP01/Smileys/Pirate.gif

They tried 4 times and the tint kept peeling back from that top ledge at the top of the tail light. Originally he said he could do it but would have to make a seam for the inner part of the light, like where the trunk meets the light. I said ok do one and I'll check it out. He comes back a half hour later and says we can't do it...it just keeps peeling back. They said this was the first tail lights they couldn't tint bc of the curves. I don't want to paint them, so I'm thinking vinyl? Where's a good place to get vinyl?

P.S. He also said he didn't want it to look "butchered".

Bluebatmobile makes tint for yer car, though many a man has tried and failed to do it hisself. In me opinion, paintin' be yer best choice. Ye can wet sand it later if ye decide dark tails ain't in ye future.

I would have taken my RS7 to Exposed but I found out about it too late :(

Although I am really looking forward to more events in Ohio! Once I can figure out the way to post image links that actually work I will post some of my RS....but the only mods I put on it are real simple....sport pedals and aluminum valve stem covers.... i like the subtle things! ;)

I have had my TC since mid Aug. I am having a great time driving the car. The only issue I have is the front end. It seems that the right side panel has a larger gap tolerance than the left. The point is where two panels meet at the headlight. I went to my dealer today to address the issue and they were ready to switch the entire panel for me until they noticed the same discrepancy on the other RS7 they had in stock. Have any of you who have an RS7 have the same issue? Will try to post pics later. File size are too large on current pics.

I am having the same problem with the gap between the front bumper and right fender. Dealer said my tC (2011 regular, not RS7) is not the only one with the same problem. They got an email from the corporate addressing about the issue which requires some adjustment on the plastic clip that holds the bumper to the fender. Surprisingly, after I got home from the dealer, the gap gets worst to the point that it measures close to half an inch. I am going to bring it back to get it fixed AGAIN!

oh come on... im not that stupid!! im talking about the less wheel gap and the rs7 clearly sits lower than the other one ( look at the trunk and tails)

i just wasnt sure if all rs7 comes like that or not, because not even my brother knew about the springs! Btw lowered or not... .i thought that car was stock height and told him a dozen of times that he needs to lower that car! :D lol. so its far from being nice and low. Yeah. when i saw the other car in person i was like wtf going on with that godzilla wheel gap???????????????

i doubt they would let you since there are only 2200 RS made...meaning only 2200 black rims...

if u did a swap it would mean that one of the RS made would not get their rims
