its got to be one of those BS resistors... check around on ebay they sell em all the time .. maybe email the seller and ask where it is located ... he could prolly tell you
they dont do anything so im not sure why people even install em
there def is no REAL performance chip that has been released for the xB as far as i know

Yeah, I thought all the performance chips out the learning computer in the xB would over-ride............

check your data link connector for something that loosk out of place ............and remove it you cannot "flash reprogram" or install a chip in these ecus toyota & their dealers are the only ones that can reprogram the ecu and so far no data yet on this and if they do its only for tsb work

check and make sure that the connector for the valve that sits on your intake is hooked up. Not your MAF sensor but that little box attached to your intake. It it is not hooked up then locat that wire and see if there is a resistor stuck into it.
Perfomance chips don't do SH*T on naturally aspirated cars people. You would be lucky to get a 2% increase even from a "real" chip.
Chip a car that came stock with a turbo and you see real differences, it's easy to turn up boost max electronically and fuel injection to match. I did it on my turbodiesel Jetta and saw dramatic results.
Don't waste your money on chips of any kind for a car without a turbo though, trust me. Especially a tiny 1.5 liter. The truth is 99% of the mods for this engine cost 100's of dollars and deliver minimal value. You can throw a header, downpipe, intake at it and MAYBE you'll get an extra 8 hp at the top of the powerband.
Mostly people do it because they have money burning a hole in their pocket and a wicked case of placebo effect.

You're preaching to the chior...
He wasn't asking the pros and cons, just where it goes and how to remove it.
