Default What should I do first?

I will be the new owner of an '09 Scion tC with the windows already tinted. I was wondering what you guys think I should do first. I was thinking Eibach Sportline kit. Any suggestions?

I think lowering is a very good first mod. Definitely get rid of the horrible 4x4 wheel gap these cars have from the factory. I personally went with Tein S-Techs, but mainly because of the deal I got, I've never had Eibach's so I cant bash em. What color is the car btw and is it manual or automatic?

I had Tien on my Mazda Protege. I liked them. The Eibach are sportier. And it's the Flint Mica I think (dark gray) and it's a manual. My brother is gonna plasti-dip the rims for me, so I'll have black rims, and hopefully get some brighter headlights. Then I was gonna get a Borla or Skunk2 muffler (not the full exhaust kit, just muffler and tip). Not sure though.

I was also looking at the pedestal spoiler for it.

I don't know where you were planning on getting your springs at or if this is even a deal, but I just found out that Advance Auto Parts has Eibach springs on their website for $241.99 and they have a coupon (BIG50) good for $50 off $200 purchase, which makes it $191.99 with free shipping but you will have to add sales tax to it. Here's the link for the springs http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Kit-Eibach-Suspension_22315023-P_3077_R|GRPCHASAMS_1323924674____

as for those tow exhaust I'm not really sure what your going for but nether or those are going to be very loud, the borla is a low growl but only in the lower RPMs at lower speeds

if you want something loud i would go with the HKS Hi-Power or the Greddy Ti-C (what i have)

Just mufflers and tips? Or full-system? Cause I'm looking at just the muffler and tip. And those were just some ideas. I wasn't really sure. Any input is appreciated.

I agree, I have the HKS Hi-Power and I love it, I wasn't a fan of the angled exhaust, but it has grown on me. I also have a DC Sports header and I was worried about rasp, but the only time it sounds raspy is the first few minutes of driving it, once the metal warms up, it sounds amazing. It is a little loud though.

One of the first mods I tell everybody to do (even if it isnt a tC) is a aftermarket intake. Its a fun little job to do, and its cool to hear while driving. Also imo aftermarket ones look better than them big bulky plastic pieces in the engine bay.

I ran HKS Hi-Power + Megan pipe and stock headers with Weapon-R intake for awhile... got mad compliments on the sound... until I dropped in Megan headers! Eww! LOL but I am working on getting a resonator to fix that farty sound at the moment. I'll post up a video sample so keep your eyes (and ears) open for it! ;)

First I would go for a CAI + exhaust combo, make the car sound better, I have the TRD CAI and TRD Exhaust. I personally love the combo, the TRD exhaust is noticably louder than stock, but isn't quite as loud as a greedy or hks, so if you aren't looking for something loud that's the way to go.

Then after that I would look into coilovers, don't waste your money on springs.

I love my injen cai (set up as short ram) and Injen ses axle back. Alotta people like it and no rasp at all. The sri gets wet in the brushless car washes though which annoys me cause I use those for the winter to clear off salt.

hey, check out the tanabe concept g axel back exhaust. I have it on my 08 with stock airbox and i love the sound. Not too loud with a nice low tone rumble.
And definitely look into lowering the car.

I don't have a lot of money, and I looked up coilovers, which are like $1000. The Eibach springs are like $215. LoL As far as exhaust, again, I don't have a lot of money, so looking for good sound out of just a muffler. (hopefully)

U want good sound but u want cheap (usually doesn't go together)? You can go ebay route for cheap with a $70.99 axle back. Can't guarantee you good sound tho. Otherwise, used parts on craigslist.

I attached some pictures of why you should lower it first, when I first got the car I didn't think anything of the ride height, but now that I look back, it makes me cringe seeing my previously offroad capable tC.

Oh and you could always get those springs for $191.99 through advance auto, then do another order for a K&N filter which is $56.99 us the coupon code (A123) for $20 off $50 purchase. So for $228.99 you would have springs and a performance filter.

You should drive it and worry about saving money for a bit, not just throwing money into springs and an exhaust.
