So I took my car in to have it looked at today because my moon roof has been creaking while I drive down the road. They said they opened up a trouble ticket, but didn't know what exactly was causing it. When I did a lap with the tech, it almost completely stopped when he put pressure on the rear piece of glass for the moon roof.

Anyone else had this issue? Any fixes?

 

Mine creaks when there is snow and ice accumulation on top, but that's the only time I have noticed...

 

mine creaks all the time too. i just figured it was normal for a sunroof that opens outside the car, but i only had one other car with a sunroof but it was a completely different set up than the tc. let me know if you find a solution to the creaking because it drives me crazy

Mine creaks and I have a 1st gen...

 

Starting to get all kinds of creaks, even belt screams at full lock with this colder weather. starting to see more of the 'economy' in this build.

I will try to see if I can duplicate the rear glass once i have someone riding with me. Been trying to ignore all of this with the radio turned up.

 

Mine creaks. I've been to the dealership before because the rattle. At the time, I was told that they knew about the noise issues and Toyota was working on a fix. So maybe we'll see something to fix it soon.

 

Hmmm, maybe I need to turn my system down and start listening for these problems. I swear I must have gotten a well built TC. Other than the door rattle and occasional spare tire/jack rattle on harsh bumps, mine is nice and quiet. She has gave me zero problems, well almost.. I can already tell the cold weather is making shifting into 1st gear a bit tedious sometimes just like last winter. i have 10,400mi. on the O.D. Figured the tranny would have loosened up enough by now. She is definitely getting a better thinner gear oil for the tranny before Dec.

 

Have the same problem with my 2011. I go to the dealer ship and they say that the problem was not normal. The dealer check with Scion and they have to change all the sunroof systeme. But I leave in Montreal, Canada. I don't know if is gonna be the same for US ....
