Since I may well have to replace a coil-pack I've started hunting and I see my original 90919-C2006 (marked 90919-C2002) has been replaced by 90919-02260, wonder when that change was made and if it reflects the problems people here reported?

Still, best price for the -02260 I've seen thus far is $79.10 including $12.01 shipping to DE. Anyone know of a lower cost source?

By the way, be wary of Ebay sellers -- one has a coil-pack listed specifically for the xB2, but the part number he specifies is 90919-A2001, which is not correct for our cars. I sent a message to let him know, hopefully he fixes it.

A2001 and 02260 both show on my EPC as per our vehicles.

Interesting, per the net the -A2001 is for Camry, Corolla, Solara, Matrix, Tacoma, Tundra, Highlander, 4 Runner and the equivalent part# is 90919-02248. Seems odd, -02248 and -02260 being the same thing? Are you certain they're entirely equivalent?

Well, guess I'm kind of confused at this point. Both ToyotaPartsZone and ToyotaPartsEast list the -A2001 as being the current replacement for the xB2. Plus, TRDSparks lists the -A2001, but not the -02260. So, I don't understand what happened, but it's looking as though the -A2001/-02248 is the real McCoy.

If that's truly the case, then I guess it becomes a question of coil-pack origin, which appears to be China Vs Japan. But either way, the -A2001 is definitely available on Ebay at a lower price.

Well, my inclination (blame ignorance if you will ) is to prefer the -02260. I would really like to run across definitive info, but that is seeming unlikely ! I don't wish to purchase something that will merely do the "job" for my car, but rather whatever is actually preferable for it -- if I'm going to spend money, I want a fix, not a band-aid !

The more I hunt for clarification between the -02260 and -A2001, the more the original -C2006 and -02260 which superseded it appear to be orphaned. It seems -02248 was superseded by -A2001 and reviewing info at parts.com the -A2001 is specified in the OEM, Mechanical, and Collision catalogs for our vehicles. Although the -02260 is purchasable and at least some Scion online parts stores specify it, Parts.com, TRDSparks, ToyotaPartsZone, ToyotaPartsEast, and CarsonToyota all specify the -A2001.

If anyone has any practical knowledge of these coils, I'd love to learn a little more than I'm finding on the net.

Don't know if anyone's following this thread, but thanks to overwhelming evidence, I've concluded my best choice is an -A2001 equivalent coil. I've identified a supposedly equivalent "BWD Automotive" E995 and given an attractive price, anticipate checking it out on cylinder #4 (don't need further variables on #'s 1 and 3). I'll report here with my results on all three cylinders.

What is this coil pack issue you speak of? 08 xb built 7/2007 with 50k miles and no coil pack issues here. I guess I lucked out...
