I am thinking about it but I honestly didn't even really play forza 3 very much so not sure if I want to spend the money this time.

I had a chance to download the demo, but not play it. How is it? Are all the new physics and tire changes apparent?

I'm about to play it now. From what I've been reading it's on par with the hype that's surrounding it.

The simulation steering is incredible(even with my "junky" Microsoft wheel). I can't wait to pick up my pre-ordered copy!

I pre-ordered at Gamestop but am thinking about picking up a copy from Wal Mart at midnight then just returning the pre-ordered one.

I dont think any of the gamestops are doing a midnight release, it isnt popular enough to warrant one. Plus theres a bunch of more popular games coming out in the following weeks that theyre doing midnight releases for which means more employees to pay

Stayed up till 3 playing it, I think my favorite part is the Manufacturer Affinity, makes it easy to upgrade/downgrade your car accordingly to meet the restrictions of certain races without having to spend all your money. I have 100% discount on all my Nissan parts already, pretty cool.

Didnt get to drift much but smoke still sucks from what ive gathered, looks like theyre completely did away with drift points, or im just an idiot and couldnt figure out how to turn it on. It was rumored there would be drift events but I didnt see any on the event list.

What bonus package? I know of the pre-order car and the Season Pass but wasn't aware there was something else.

Supposedly there was something called a "ship" package, the first ones that were in stores had it, idk, my cover looks different, it comes with 5 extra cars that you can download for free including a jzz30. Gimme a sec, ill post a pic of my cover.

Oh yeah the first shipment of games gets the VIP pack regardless if you have the LCE or not. In a few weeks that won't be there anymore on newly made copies of the game.

I picked up a LE of the game, and it didn't come with any of those cars Cory mentioned. Did I miss a redeemable code somewhere?

Mine didn't appear at first either but when I restarted the game (not the system) they were there.

If it doesnt have the bonus pack included thing on the cover (bottom left) like the one i posted above then you prob didnt get them. It says that on the front, then there is a list of the car on the back, and like Jon said theres a code that you have to redeem online and download the pack.

Anyone try to drive the ssc ultimate aero? Spins 5th gear going straight. At well over 100mph. I have found a new love for the Ferrari f50 though.

It definitely takes a serious amount of throttle control to drive the aero.

I imported FM3 at Level 50. Got some cars and 60k credits. I'm up to Level 20 now with about 405k credits. I'm loving the improved physics and of course the graphics.

Those are actually branded wings. Top Secret on the Z and Yaris (or whatever) on the Evo I think. I'm not fond of the regular Forza wing on most cars.

Yeah I'm glad they added that option. So far I know you can do it on the Evo, S15, and Integra. You can also do a bumper delete on the Hakosuka. The headlight covers are a nice touch too.

yea man this game is way awesome. i love how you can feel the car understeer an oversteer isnt as impossible to control as it has been. i can't wait to get home and play it.

Spent an hour tuning my FC today, gonna finish it up soon, cant wait to get down on some tandem action

loveing this game so far, wish they had the tC2, xb, FRS or the toyota FT-86 concept 2 like Forza 3. The detail on this game is great. only wish i had more time to play it.

Got the LCE but haven't had time to get into it, just got the DLC and went to work. And the bonus cars Yellow posted about are part of the collector's DLC already in the VIP package, then there's the Top Gear Track and test courses, and the American Muscle pack all part of the LCE extras.

Has anyone else noticed how many honda fanboys are on there lol? Honda must have had something to do with the game because when you upgrade them(engine swap etc) they are faster than any other cars on the game and handle better. Its rediculous. Im a honda fan, my last car was a civic before my tc but damn they got overrated. A honda in no way should handle better and be quicker than evos and stis in the same class.

yea the mechanics of this game are off. i've gotten pretty frustrated myself with some of the cars. it seems like if you add power even if you add grip and suspension it doesnt affect it and moves it to a terrible class that it can't compete in.

^Suspension tuning is a lot more important in 4 compared to how it was in 3. Plus power-to-weight ratios play a bigger role. A 400hp EG Civic is gonna be in S-class even though it doesn't have the top end to keep up with a 600hp 3500lb Aston DBS for example.

Power isn't ALWAYS the answer guys. I've won races against cars that outclassed/out powered me simply by tuning the suspension and transmission.

Adding 200whp to a car tuned specifically for 250whp can ruin it. You would have to re-tune everything for the added power.

Jon I agree that the limit on pics sucks. Just will have to save and upload them to another site. I'm not all good at tuning, but seem to manage. The game seems to be easier to pick up and play and the progression seems to move at a good rate. Haven't been on that game for a while, been playing NFS.

^ how is NFS because it looks like it might suck a little...

Single player is short, finished "The Run" in 2hrs 15min on normal. Then there's the challenge mode to unlock cars that can be used during the run and online, but to unlock some you have to play online multiplayer to get. I've pretty much bought all of their recent games and will continue to be suckered into buying others. I say a rental just to go through the single player. Online has had the game stuck on loading the start of new racing session sometimes so you'd have to leave and try to get into another one.

I know this. I just liked how in the past forza it seemed to re-adjust when you added power and what I ment is suspension doesn't have such a profound affect as it used too.

Not sure if I agree there. Cars that used to suck in FM3 are actually able to be competitively tuned now due to improved physics (tires and suspension).

And the fact that throwing AWD in any car doesn't automatically make it a beast anymore. RWD is now the answer...as it should be.

I love the game don't get me wrong. There are things that are just off to me.

I haven't finished going through the thread yet but I think it is. The garage scrolling is smooth also. It hasn't crashed yet and I've played about 3, 16 player lobbies. They also adjusted the PI for some of the muscle cars and increased the player levels.

Tried to replicate an RS 7 tC2. Unfortunately the stock wheels can't be painted, put on some HRE's and blacked them out, also the yellow is likely off, as not everyone's screen setting is the same and I haven't seen a RS 7 in person in a long while.

Man, I wish they would put the xb2 in there.

I'm disappointed there's no RWD conversion for the tC. They had it in the previous Forza, and they're still a couple of drift tCs in Formula D. A 2JZ xB2 with rwd conversion would be nice.
