Default Help remote start alarm and factory alarm clashing!

I installed the a Avital remote start... the problem I am having is when I go to lock the doors the factory alarm activates and then when I remote start the car the factory alarm goes off. What do I have to do to prevent this?!

Did you use a immobilizer bypass when you installed the remote start? If so double check the wiring on the bypass or reprogram it. If you didn't use a bypass then the first thing i would try is hooking up your lock wires to the factory alarm arm and factory alarm disarm wire. This should lock and arm your factory and unlock and disarm your alarm all at once.

hooking up to the arm diarm is how I did my Autopage CS730 with remote start. If it is starting then you must have wired up the second ignition correctly too. Most guys miss that one.
